🔹 1. When do we use Past Simple?

We use Past Simple to talk about actions that happened in the past.
➡ Example: I played football yesterday.
➡ Example: She watched TV last night.

🔹 2. How do we form Past Simple?

✅ Affirmative (positive sentences)

Subject + Verb (V2)
If the verb is regular, we add -ed.
If it’s irregular, we change the form.

🟢 Regular verbs: play → played, visit → visited, watch → watched
🔵 Irregular verbs: go → went, eat → ate, see → saw, have → had

❌Negative sentences

Subject + didn’t + Verb (V1)
We use didn’t (did not) and the base form of the verb.

Example I didn’t play football.

She didn’t watch TV.

Example
