I really enjoyed reading “Every Song Ever” by Ben Ratliff. It offered a lot of (Unique) points of views on elements that go on in music that I had never even thought about. He told the reader several different strategies for when listening to all sorts of music. Ben Ratliff was able to break down a lot of songs and discuss them in ways that made sense. He also made numerous metaphors and similarities that furthered my understanding of whatever topic he was discussing. Although I really enjoyed the book there were quite a few things that got me confused, so that I had to read the same passage multiple times to understand what he was saying.
