It is necessary to partake in every decision making of the team and to know what I could contribute in every project. There are some online discussions also that that is done and it is significant also to join in communicating with my teammate that way especially if there are some changes in the agreed plans. My second action plan is to ask for help if ever there is something I do not or could not understand. I should not pretend that I can do it if I cannot, and asking for help from my teammates could actually help the team as a whole to deliver good quality projects.

Leadership never exist without someone who follows. My second leadership goal is to be an effective follower. One of the basic things to be one is to know how to manage myself. Being committed and be responsible and accountable for my own action is big factor in becoming an effective follower.

Eating out together and sharing stories about ourselves would be a good idea in knowing each other personally. Other option also is touring a place together. In this way, we can bond closely; and we may know each other’s thoughts about things.

My specific action plan for this is to allocate a precise time with the group of when to start the project. It is important also to have our own deadline in the team that is prior to the given deadline by the professor so that we will not cram. Creating a Gantt chart would be a great help for this, but it is to be made sure also that everyone is to follow what is in the chart.

At first, you will be on the stage of forming the team, of introducing each other. The relationship you have then with your teammates are not that strong but as time go on it will be developed. Building a wonderful relationship with your teammates is not the only requirement though to solving the maze because there is certain vision, mission, techniques or tasks to be taken into action to reach the desired outcome. This is my first personal leadership goals with my coming teams; to perform a high task and to build a high relationship.

I want to lead with zeal or passion by showing in action to my teammates that I am committed to what I am doing. I would like to exhort or encourage my teammates to do things more efficiently; and to cheer them up especially in times of difficulty.  I will be willing to share my knowledge and ideas to the team to achieve our shared goals. I want to have a harmony in my team and I want us to respect each other.

One of those is learning on how to become an effective leader to one’s self, to a group of people, and how to embrace diversity more.
