1. Archive a class. I would like to keep the dashboard organized since I will likely be modeling directions, how to log in and edit work. Having clutter removed will lessen confusion for my students when they watch.
2. Reuse an old post. I have already had to re do an entire assignment because I had forgotten to click, "Make a copy for each student." I would use this to correct that error. I would also like to use it for when I had lessons that worked the previous year.
3. Add a topic to post. I would like the organization of topics so that I can plan ahead and have the tasks easier to assign as I need them.

Posting Questions - This is a great way to Access Prior Knowledge. Before you start a new topic, you can ask students what they already know. Often, we as teachers make assumptions based on our own experiences with a topic, and if we go into teaching a new concept without understanding what our student assumptions may or may not be, it can lead to failure. Being able to see feed back immediately on the stream to a question and having the kids all look at the stream on the Smartboard at the same time is a great way to assess their current level of understanding and start a great conversation.
2. Creating topics - this is a great tool to use to help students organize their learning and use the classroom as a study tool for upcoming assessments or as a review tool if they are struggling with a certain topic. There are no more excuses such as "I didn't know where to look" or "You never gave it to me" Awesome!
3. Re-use a post - I never knew how to create a copy for each student before. It's too bad you can choose that option when you create the post in the first place. Kind of crazy that you have to go back in, edit and then delete the original. I'll be trying this though.

It will keep me organized.
2. The second video that I chose to watch was on moving a post to the top. This is important to know how to do because at times if I post and students comment or I want to reopen a discussion instead of re-writing the post I can just re-post it.
3. The last is creating topics. This will also allow me to keep my topics and information organized so that I can go back and look for certain topics or information

Archiving a class: An excellent tool for organizing your google page as well as a way to reuse effective tools from previous years. These pages can be adjusted for the needs of the new class or the students, but it's nice to see that there is a way to organize good stuff and without the clutter.

Assigning posts to specific students: This is a great way to organize grouped work for specific students in the class. This way it can all be on one page for the teacher to view, while students can concentrate on their own work without the distraction of others.

Saving posts as drafts and assigning drafts: This is a great way to get work done prior to the lesson and have it adjusted before the actual posting. This way, it does not need to be created right before posting, but allows time and flexibility for the creator to adjust as the class needs.

1. Reusing a post - I would use this when I forget to give each student their own copy of an assignment. In the past I deleted the entire assignment first and recreated it from scratch; this will save time.
2. Assigning a topic - At this point in the year, we have a lot of posts in the stream and sorting by topic would make it easier for students to find specific posts and assignments.
3. Saving a post as a draft - I like the flexibility of working on it little by little and/or waiting to post it until we need it so that it doesn't clog up my class feed unnecessarily.

1. Assign posts to specific students: I would use this for three different grade levels and abilities that are currently in my class.
2. Creating topics: I would use this to help with organization for different grade levels and chapters.
3. Post a question: I would use this to review material, bell work, or as an exit ticket. Love that I would not have to make paper copies!

1. Assign post to specific students: Is a great way to differentiate an assignment for students. It is also helps with the students not being aware that other students need help with an assignment or are working below grade level.

2. Creating Topics: Is a great way to organize assignments by topic or content area.

3. Posting a question can be used as writing prompt, journal entry, or an exit ticket. It can be used as a quick way to check for understanding as well.
