1. I picked this book because I have read many other books written by John Green and I am yet to be disappointed.
2. I think I may enjoy reading this book, although getting into books and being able to focus and read a book is something I have always sort of struggled with.
3. I think focusing on reading and not zoning out into the book will be something I struggle with.
4. I hope this book helps me to enjoy reading again
5. The author is conveying different messages about independence, friendship, etc.

During Miles' first week at Cripple Creek boarding school, he was wrapped in duct tape and thrown into the campus lake. He was able to somehow not drown and go back to his room. He told his roommate about what had happened and they thought he was being a baby at first, because this group of people throws everyone new to the school in the lake. They don't wrap everyone up in duct tape. Chip and Alaska try to get revenge on these people to set them straight.

chip stayed in my mind because his energy is something I strive to have, he is really smart and doesn't care what anyone thinks. he doesn't tolerate bullies, he is genuine. He worked for his spot at the school, instead of just being daddys money.
