Whaling has is an issue that has been fortified and brought up again from time to time. Usually, people are more focused on the big issues, like, Global Warming, Pollution, Endangered Species, War, and so on; but what most people don't know is that not only in their country, but in the whole world, an animal is suffering because of something that people are doing to them, and because of it, it’s having a large toll on these animals ecosystems and environments. Whales have been hunted for hundreds of years, and over the years the mortality rate of these wonderful creatures have gone up, which is affecting the food webs and messing up the food chain and what animals thrive and which animals suffer. To keep whaling from happening, activist groups all over the world get together to try and stop whaling, but to do so, it is better to put up laws to prevent the hunting of these animals. Unfortunately, to do this the government has to put up laws against it and raise money to fund campaigns to raise awareness for them, and that costs hundreds of millions of dollars which not everyone can just pay. With the limiting amounts of laws put up by some countries, Japanese whalers try to find loopholes in the law, and say that what they’re doing is for scientific purposes, which ends up in them killings thousands of whales a year. The love for these animals have grown over the years, with tourism and advertising them, but unfortunately their reputation isn’t. Whaling is still a major issue that affects the animal, the environments, and its habitats, and still it is not well recognized. So what is possible to stop these whale killings from happening and harming our oceans ecosystems?
