She had 21 surgery and  had her leg amputated . She found to have a hard time finding a prosthetic so she became a social worker and created a foundation called the San Antonio foundation , 30 years later she is still getting through each day . She was mainly worried about the people that couldn’t afford them because they were $8,000 - $25,000 . Many other people have had children after an amputation and she was worried about having children with one leg .
Video_During this video some amputees share their stories . She tells us about how there are 40-60 amputees a month that come together to share their stories  about accidents. Some of them have some of the worst story’s and them asking how will I ? One woman was so moved by her and her story and she recently had he leg cut of the same as her and said “Yeah can’t stop”. They all have their different stories but they all had one thing in common they all said it’s a new world for them .
