Social media is a huge distraction in my life, as I find myself wasting hours a day looking at videos on instagram. This distraction takes away time that I could be using to become a better leader, instead I become a better follower and watch other peoples lives.

Texting friends

Most of the time I text friends about unimportant things, therefore wasting time. To be an effective leader you need to communicate with others about important matters and get stuff done. By texting my friends, I waste time that I could be using to reach my leadership goals.

Arguing

Arguing with family members can be a huge waste of time because they are often unnecessary and destructive to our relationships. Instead of arguing I could have productive conversations that are uplifting, therefore improving my leadership skills.

Watching TV

Watching tv can be good to relax, but it can also be a huge waste of time. It also doesn't take any brain power to watch tv, therefore making you lazy and lack initiative. Overall it takes away from our ability to lead, which also gets me further away from my leadership skills.

Sometimes I struggle with staying organized, which makes my life harder. Staying organized is important because it allows you to be more efficient throughout the day. Without organization it's easy to get sidetracked and ultimately lose sight of your leadership goals.
