         <description><![CDATA[<div>Two of the most important amendments are<br>-The 1st Amendment<br>--Freedom of Speech, Religion, Assembly, and The Press.  This allows people to speak freely, practice any religion of their choosing and freedom of people to assemble and protest without fear of persecution.  This is important because this is one of the bedrocks to our foundation of freedom.<br>-The 4th Amendment<br>--The 4th Amendment protects people from unreasonable searches and seizure.  Since we live in a time of such advanced technology, this amendment is more important than ever.  This protects our countries citizens from unlawful search and seizure.<br>-Article 5 of the US Constitution, describes the process to alter/Amend the US Constitution.  This is done with a 2/3 vote in Congress and House of Representatives. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Fixing the Constitution</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1: "Elect the President and VP by direct vote without the electoral college" by RadOwl.  This argues that by eliminating the electoral college, elections would be more fair by electing based on popular opinion.  The author of this opinion argues that elimination of the electoral college would treat states more equally and not base the elections on a few key states.<br>2: "Super majority to overturn laws" by KC64.  The author of this article proposes and argues that since laws that are passed by congress and signed by the president, they are therefore deemed constitutional.  To overturn these laws should need a super majority of at least 7 supreme court justices.</div>]]></description>
