Humans needed to be loyal in the past due to rules and laws made my the government (kings/queens as well) or even for wars. They had to keep that type of loyalty so then that territory can live at peace. Though, times have changed and only in some countries they still live in a royal society and wars such as WW1/WW2 don't occur anymore. Now people have became more independent and start having trust issues. It's hard to trust someone and be loyal because why be loyal when you can't even trust someone? Loyalty is way more important to me than popularity/fitting in.  Loyalty means much more and it can go a long way in life while popularity has it's ups and down, it's never forever.  In any story, there is always a downfall of the popular people and the person who had always had a good heart and the popular person come to realize being pretty or rich isn't what matters. In school you will always hear the terms of popular kids being the most liked and having the most friends yet those are the same people who have the most drama, especially friend drama and what others like to call "fake friends". Fake friends are the best example of un-loyal people. What makes up a good friend is trust a loyalty, not just friend tho any sort of relationship. Loyalty will always over power popularity.

All the Greasers were getting ready and putting extra hair oil in since they were proud of who they were today. Sodapop had told Ponyboy that he didn't think he should might, so did Darry since he wasn't in the same shape as before but he insisted. To boost there energy they were boosting of who they are and making fun of the Socs of what they do and what they have. They arrived to the rumble and all the Socs were there and they shaked hands with them and then it started. Tim called over Darry and discussed about the rules. Then Darry saw Paul Holden, Paul said to fight him. They both started swinging until Paul hit Darry's jaw, so then Dallas joined in. Ponyboy couldn't find anyone like him so he just jumped on someone back but then the Soc pinned him back. Darry joined in to help him. Then Dally was fighting someone so Ponyboy jumped his back but he caught him by the neck and and threw him on the ground. When he tried to sit up all the Socs were leaving which meant the Greasers won. After the rumble they went to go see Johnny to tell him that they won the rumble. Such as, the Greasers were a gang of 7 living a life where everyday was great. Some would go to school and some would work then they meet up and talk, restart.
