About 7 years ago, I went through a divorce and met my current husband around the same time. I am from a big city and never really had the opportunity to know the country or what an inspiration it would bring to me. To say it was life-changing would not be enough. My husband introduced me to fishing, and the kind of fishing we do occurs in the earliest morning hours. I remember the exact morning I witnessed a sunrise that would take my breath away. There is something that happens inside you when you allow the scenery around you to become part of your soul. I do not know how, but something that morning changed in my life. At first, the blues turned to lavender, and then the unraveling of the pinks and oranges came. I sat there on the edge of the boat realizing just how magical our world is. While I thought I would always be a city girl, we now have plans to buy a home toward the west side of Wisconsin. The "Driftless Region." Doesn't that spark your imagination? The sunsets in the bluffs are stunning, and I can't wait to experience this feeling every morning.(Posted by Kathleen Nettesheim.)(Posted January 25, 19)
