How do we attract students without the opportunity to give them 'class credits'?

Here in the UK we aren't quite so integrated into the academic structure, so there aren't often opportunities to give 'credits' to students. How do we attract students that don't 'have to' be in the Special Collections?

I've started letting my student workers curate exhibits to help my workload out as a solo archivist but also give them something very enjoyable to do. They seem to love working on them!
