Hobbies are things or actions that you do in your leisure time. In my leisure time, I usually read books. Not just any book, but a motivational book. When I read these books, I feel like I gain more control in my life which makes me feel more confident. Apart from reading, I like to play tennis but it depends on my time. My favourite player in this sport is Rafael Nadal, he's from Spain. I have played this sport for the longest time because it makes me fit. I feel like I am addicted to this sport but I don't know why.

One of my favourite memories from this year was celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri in my hometown Kangar, Perlis.

On the 10th of April, a Wednesday was the day we celebrated Hari Raya. This was my little sister's first Hari Raya celebration so it was a new experience for me to take care of my little sister. To be honest, this year's celebration was unlike any other celebration before it. It was a bit more boring, I don't know why. Want to know the funny story behind this picture? We took this photo around midday, and the sun was shining brightly. As a result, our eyes were hurting a lot when we took this picture. That's why our eyes were quite narrow in this photo. On the other hand, the shoes that I wore were brand new. Before taking a step, I would look at the place I will take a step on. As for the wooden house in the background, it is my grandfather's homestay. My grandfather built it with his friends and then turned it into a homestay.

My experience on the 27th of March which is the first day of my new college is a subject that I couldn't resist sharing with you guys.

I woke up at 6 o'clock and got ready to start a new chapter in my life at my new college. After I finalized my 3 luggages, I said my goodbyes to my brothers which was quite sad and emotional. On my way to the school, we got some Earl Grey at Starbucks. Then, we continued our journey to the college. As I arrived at the college, we had to check in ourselves at the administration centre and then proceeded to send my luggage to my room at the hostel. Afterwards, we headed to the auditorium for a briefing session with parents and the administrators, which was so tedious that it made me sleep. Following, we could go out with our parents. So, I went out with my parents to buy a padlock and some school necessities. Subsequently, we arrived back at the hostel and I said my goodbyes to my parents which was when I cried due to "homesickness". It was quite sad for me at that time but I think I, now, got the hang of it.

The evolution of music kind of sucks to me. I like old jazz songs which is why my favourite is Don't Stop Me Now by Queen.

This all started when my father decided to watch 'Bohemian Rhapsody' which is a movie based on the journey of Freddie Mercury and his band. The movie itself is quite interesting since it wasn't the band's exact path but it was close. On the good side, the actors were almost looking like their characters in the movie. This song lies at the end of the movie where the Queen played this song which was when I heard it for the first time. This song just makes me feel motivated and inspired. The lyric 'Don't stop me now' represented that if "there is a will, there is a way" and no one could stop me from reaching my goal or distract me from achieving a goal. This song makes me pumped up which is why it is my favourite song.

For your perusal, me and my family had always dreamt of going to Switzerland. The sceneries I saw on Google had made me feel calm and relaxed.

Switzerland is a European country. Beautiful sceneries of mountains and lakes surround this country. This country has also made our favourite foods which are Swiss Cheese and chocolate. Who doesn't like either one of these? Statistically, Switzerland is one of the happiest countries on the planet ranking 24th on the leaderboard. Putting aside vacations, if I don't get a scholarship for studying in the US or the UK, I hope to continue studying in Switzerland as it has a renowned education system. Another thing about Switzerland's universities is that it's relatively cheap when compared to other universities around the world. Me and my family have always dreamt of going to Switzerland. So I hope that one day I will get a chance to go there, for vacation or education.

It all started when I came across an image of the universe that was taken by JWST, a space telescope. This picture made me curious and made me want to study our universe.

I would like to be an astrophysicist when I grow up. It is the study of relating our physics with the universe. It is too complex for me as of right now, but I'm slowly trying to grasp the concepts in this stream of physics. I find this stream of physics the most interesting and being the curious person I am, I will study the universe until I can explain every tiny detail in the Pillars of Creation picture above. To be honest, those yellow dust particles kind of look like hands. So, I think that is why it is called the Pillars of Creation.

My dream university is the University of California-Berkeley. Only because it is the most advanced in astrophysics research.

Why the University of California? I want to go to this university because it is quite cheap being $21, 402 which is about RM102,543.41. It is also the best in astrophysics research performance, ranking first in the US. Other than that, this university's alumni are succeeding in life, 35 of them are Nobel prize winners. In only one campus, there are multidisciplinary labs, research centers and museums which can help you perform better in school. Even the scenery, which can be seen on campus, is beautiful. Students can see the San Francisco Bay from campus. I like to imagine that when I wake up, I wake up at this university and just go out to see the view. Perfection!

Just to let you know, I am quite active in sports. It's just how I am, I have been this way since primary school.

I had played tennis, football, swimming, rugby, volleyball and handball. My favourite and star sports are tennis, football and swimming. Tennis, I played this sport since 5 and have already won over 30 medals and trophies. I play using my right hand because I do not know how to use my left hand but my idol uses his left hand to play which I found very amusing. Next, football. I played at the MSSM level 2 times. The last being in 2022 and the captain of the team. I played it since I was 7 and played it ever since. I find De Ligt very interesting in this sport, he has leadership qualities and does not give a chance to the other team to even get past him to score a goal. After that, there's swimming. Throughout my life, I have already won 2 gold medals and 5 silver medals. This sport is hard and requires you to train weekly and consistently. I am quite fast in the sport. To be quite frank, the sport that made me the fittest is swimming. It requires you to use all of your body and therefore, burn more fat. Which is why I am fit.

As you know, one of my hobbies is reading motivational books. My favourite books in this category being the 48 Laws of Power and Atomic Habits.

I recommend both of these books. First, Atomic Habits is a book that teaches you everything you need to know about habits. It teaches you how to build good habits, how to break bad habits and how habits are formed. It will change your perception of how you think about habits and will make you a better person overall. I got this book for only RM50 after a discount at a shop in Penang. Next, the 48 Laws of Power is a book which teaches you how to gain power and make people respect or be scared of you. It is a dangerous book for humans because if used correctly can make someone dangerous and respected. So, these 2 books can make you a whole new and dangerous person if you follow it step-by-step process.

I have 3 best friends: Tsaqif, Aqill Darwisy and Wafiy. Here's why they are my best friends.

Tsaqif is my best friend because he has been my roommate for 2 years straight, and over time we had to get used to each other. We also love to do late-night talks because it feels refreshing and relaxing. Another thing about us is that we love to play football and basketball together. Other than that, he is the same age as me so he understands me better. Aqill Darwisy is also my ex-roommate, he was my roommate for 1 year. We love to sleep on the floor for some reason, maybe because it's the only way we can sleep together. I like to study with him because he is enthusiastic and motivating. Other than that, I also love to work out with him. I also like to discuss politics with him, I don't usually do that with other people. Lastly, Wafiy has been my best friend since Bangi which was last year, we used to hang out together, do our homework together, wash clothes together and also play football together. He is a good football player and I think he will play in the professional level soon.

I returned to the hostel on the 15th of April, a Wednesday. I took the bus back to the hostel arriving at 10 pm. I unpacked my stuff and went to the bathroom to shower. Then, I asked my friends about some homework and went to sleep. Next, on the 17th of April, I had to make a manifesto video for the election. At that moment, I decided to do the video on the 18th of April because it was a Saturday. So, the next day, I went to the academic block to record my video. The first draft was 4 minutes 41 seconds long. But it was supposed to be around 3 minutes. So, I had to cut some scenes and speed up the transitions to achieve the end product of a video that was 2 minutes 51 seconds long. On the 21st of April was the first robotics club meeting. I was super excited since I was amazed by robots. We had to arrange the set components during this meeting to be more organised. Then, the meeting went on as any other meeting. On this day's evening, the results of the masters will come out. So, at 4.00 pm we had to gather at the Melewar Ground. Well, I lost but I took it as an experience. These are all the key things that happened this week. Other than these moments, the rest was boring.

On April 22nd, I decided to join the election again but for another position, Academic and Personality Prefect. I had to make another poster to campaign for myself. It took quite a long time but I got the job done. I also had to make bookmarks to give to my friends, lecturers and administrators. I had to stay up all night till it was finished. Then, the next day on April 23rd. My mother helped me print my poster but in a mini size so that it would be easier for me to give to others. She also helped me print my bookmarks and give me some snacks. Then, that very night, I gave some to my girlfriends to help me campaign for the girls. I had to go to everybody's room so that everyone knew me. It was so tiring that as soon as I went to bed, I slept almost immediately. Continuing this story, on the 24th of April, I went back to my home because I had a competition in Vietnam. It was an English Olympiad at the international level. So, I rested the entire day before going to Vietnam the following day. I went to the airport at 11 am which was quite early so that I would not miss the flight. Before boarding the plane, me and my family went to eat breakfast at the airport. After that, I met my teacher and boarded the plane. It was a 3-hour long flight. So, I slept through the long journey. We arrived at Da Nang, Vietnam around 4 pm (-1 EST). Then, we took a taxi to our hotel where we unpacked and relaxed. At night, we went to a night market but there was nothing to eat. So, we went back to our hotel and went on another journey to Halal Food Karim. It was a 2 km walk and it was tiring but we arrived there soon. After eating there, we went to Love Bridge which was 400 metres away. On the way, we went through the Golden Bridge, took a photo and went to the Love Bridge. Then, we headed back to the hotel by taxi. As we arrived, we went up to our room, changed our clothes and slept soundly. On the next day, we woke up at 5.00 am to go see the sunrise, it was beautiful and I realised that Vietnamese people are very active because, on our way to the beach, a lot of people were already jogging and doing aerobics. We stayed there for half an hour and went back to our hotel. We ate breakfast on the second level and went up to the fourth floor to swim for a while. Then, we went to get ready to go to Han Coconut Boat. It was a 30-minute drive to there. So, we booked a taxi at noon and arrived there around half past noon. There wasn't a line, so as we arrived, we instantly went on the boat. It was a fun overall experience. It will be a good memory for me. After getting off the boat, I went to buy a souvenir for my parents and grandparents. I bought my mother and my grandmother a bag. For my father, some coffee. Then, we had a mango smoothie and headed back to our hotel. At 5.00 pm, there was a simulation test for me, so I headed to the examination hall to take the test. It was 1 hour long but I finished it 20 minutes early. To fill in the free time I had after the test, I went to a bakery closeby to our hotel. I ate a croffle and my teacher drank Vietnamese coffee. It was very delicious but was too sweet for my liking. After we finished eating, we headed back to the hotel to change into our traditional clothes which is Baju Melayu. At 7.00 pm, we had to go to the dining hall for the opening ceremony. There were a lot of choices for food. So, I tried every food available. I was super full after the ceremony ended. So, I went back to my room and slept. April 27 marks the examination day. We had to arrive at the examination hall at 10 pm. The exam started at 11 pm and ended at 12.30 noon. It was quite a difficult exam but I managed to finish it. After the exam, I waited until the next day when the award ceremony would be. On the 28th of April, the award ceremony occurred. I waited until my name was called, and when it was I received the gold medal. I was so happy to receive the medal. I also happen to receive the top scorer trophy. Later that night, I and my two teachers went to the spa to get a foot massage for an hour. It was so relaxing until I slept. I woke up at the end of the massage and went to bed. The next day, April 28th marks our flight back home. These are all the key moments that happened this week. Other than these moments, the rest was boring.

Third weekly journal ---> (29 April - 4 May)

On April 29th, I arrived back at my school. All my friends greeted me with care and kindness. As soon as I arrived at the school, I realised that I had a lot of homework to do. So, I had to do some homework. After 20 minutes, I was feeling stressed out so I stopped for a while and went to the bathroom. Then, I got ready to go to the prayer hall for my prayers. My prayers ended around 9 pm and then, I returned to my room to continue doing my homework. This time, I had a friend who was done with the homework to help me decorate. Even though it wasn't finished by the night's end, I was too tired to continue, so, I slept. April 30th; I had all my leisure time spent doing this homework. I continued to decorate the homework since the due date was in 5 days. The following 3 days, I had no time to do this homework as I had other subjects to do. So, it was quite a setback for me. During the last 2 days which were the 2nd and 3rd of May, I had to finish the homework as its due date was on that very day. It was finished but was ugly. So, I requested a 3-day extension so I could redo it better and prettier. Waiting for her approval, I hoped the best and I was relieved when she gave an announcement that the due date was extended until the 6th of May. On this day, it was also my birthday, so I celebrated my birthday with my friends and in the evening, my favourite teacher gave me llaollao. As I accepted his birthday present, I thought to myself, "How did he know I liked llaollao". Anyway, it was super delicious. There was so much that I had to share it with a friend. On the 4th of May, I had my leisure time spent doing this homework as it was at the top of my priorities list. These are all the key things that happened this week. Other than these moments, the rest was boring.

Fourth Weekly Journal ---> (5-11 May)

The 5th of May was a tiring day as it was spent finishing homework. So, I finally had this homework done on this day and I was feeling relieved like never before. The rest of this day was spent doing other homework and resting. The next day which was the 6th of May, we had the MTP appointment ceremony. In this ceremony, we were officially part of the MTP community. We promised the lecturers and students that we would do our job as best as we could as an MTP. We also got our scroll which was like an official letter. Everyone congratulated this community and I felt proud. At that moment, I promised myself that I would do anything and everything in my power to help this school improve in any aspect. Two days after this, we went to KPP Bangi on May 8th to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri. There was ice cream, cookies and a main meal. The food was alright overall but it just has a very long line. I took a photo with my favourite lecturer and spent time with him before going to a vending machine with friends to buy drinks. Then, we went to the library to rest. Around an hour later, we had to gather at the administration centre's foyer to take a batch photo and head back to school. These are all the key things that happened this week. Other than these moments, the rest was boring.

It should be mentioned that I have been to many different countries such as South Korea, Japan, Italy, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam. But the most recent of all is Taiwan. (Part 1)

On the 6th of March, my family and I decided to vacation in Taiwan. We also tagged my grandparents along with us. We arrived at the airport early in the morning to not miss the flight. We ate breakfast at the airport. On the plane, I sat next to a stranger so, it was a bit awkward and boring. Therefore, the only thing I did on the plane was watch movies and sleep. When we arrived in Taiwan, we had to go through immigration, baggage pick-up and went through security. The moment we went out of the airport to go in our taxi, we were freezing due to the cold weather there. We were also confused because my father said that there wasn't any cold weather in Taiwan. Since my father's main operation was here a lot of time, he had an apartment there. So, we went to his apartment and rested for a while before unpacking and getting ready for dinner with my father's boss. We met him at the restaurant where we also happened to eat. After we ate, we parted ways with my father's boss and went to see some sports franchises. Then, we went to Uniqlo to find some shirts. After that, we went back to the apartment since we were already tired. The next day called for an early morning, we had breakfast around 7 o'clock. We ate delicious homemade food cooked by my grandmother. Then, we watched a comedy movie because we had to wait for my parents and little sister to get ready to go out. We decided we were going to a hot spring. It was quite far but was worth it. We saw the large hot spring covered in Sulphur gas. There was also a warm rock heated by the hot spring where people could sit to relax. Then, we went to a traditional Taiwanese restaurant where I ate Taiwanese-style eggs. On the way back to the apartment, we went around the city to look at their culture and history. After this, we went to a market located on top of a hill. The pathway was around 5 meters wide so it was a bit narrow. I ate jelly, croffles and sausage and drank lemonade. There was a long path to discover so we finished quite late. We returned to the apartment to rest for the next day. The next day, on the 8th of March, was a Friday. In the morning, we went to Gloria Outlet to eat halal soup mee. It was so delicious that I had a second serving. Continuing, we went to the only mosque in Taipei to do our compulsory Friday Prayer. It was a unique experience you probably couldn't get at any other mosques around the globe. Additionally, there was a huge park in front of the mosque. Other than that, nearby the mosque was a halal squeezed fried chicken. There were a lot of people, so we had to take it away and eat it in our apartment. After this, we went to the park in front of the mosque to walk around leisurely and relax. We stayed there until around 6 o'clock then, we went to an old train station because there was a park in front of it. Since 7/11 was only across the road, we went there to buy some food. Continuing, we went to a night market close to the apartment. There, I ate rolled ice cream, ice cream in a cone, fish with red beans as its fillings and drank boba milk tea. I was full after having all of these items. So, we returned to the apartment to get some sleep because the next day would be tiring. The following day, on May 9th, we packed some of our clothes into our luggage because we were going on a vacation in a vacation. We went on our journey to Yilan County around 9 in the morning. On the journey, we went through the longest tunnel in Taiwan which is 42323 feet long. Since we were hungry in the car, we stopped for a while at Mr. Brown's Cafe located on top of a hill. There were also windmills surrounding this restaurant. After eating we went to a nearby beach just down the hill to do some exploring. The sand was black in colour. I wonder why. Then, we continued on our journey to our homestay. On the way, we went through an ecological zoogeography which is a place where you can see important mountains, valleys and hills being kept safely behind gates. We arrived at our homestay at around 7 o'clock. We settled down for a while before going out to a night market close by. There, I ate french fries, fruit tanghulu, potato tower and drank watermelon juice. Then, we went to KFC to buy a shrimp burger for my little brother. Continuing, we returned to our homestay to shower and get some rest.

Taiwan (Part 2)

On the 10th of May, we went on another vacation to Hualien. For the record, I couldn't remember most of the things that happened during the journey to the state. Sometime in our journey, we stopped at an art museum. I didn't understand what that art meant but I could say that there were some beautiful masterpieces. 30 minutes away from the hotel we were supposed to go to was a large waterfall. There were 3 levels, the first being the smallest and the third being the tallest waterfall of them all. After going to the third level, we continued our journey to another homestay. When we arrived there, we relaxed for a while. Then, around 7 p.m. we went to yet another night market. This market was a bit more elegant and organized but there weren't a lot of stalls there. There, I ate vegan chicken rice, potato tower, fried egg with shallots and waffles. After that, we went back to our rooms and I played Call of Duty for a while before going to sleep. My mini vacation to Yilan County and Hualien was interesting and made my overall experience in Taiwan better. I also realised 1 thing about Taiwan is that its streets are clean and there is no rubbish scattered around. The next day, on 11th March, we returned to our apartment in Taipei. Before that, we went to a Halal Indonesian restaurant not far away from our homestay. I slept on the journey back home but there weren't any locations we visited. As we arrived in Taipei, we went to the Mitsui outlet park close by the Taipei 101, I went up the tower and looked at the mesmerizing view of the entire city. After that, we walked around in the park while window-shopping. In the park, we came across a vintage boba shop where they served boba the old way. When we went outside, I saw some insane sports stores, so before returning to our apartment, we went there to check out all the different cool sports equipment I had always wanted. We ended the day with dinner where we ate at a halal buffet. I ate a spicy seafood hotpot. Then, we returned to the apartment to rest for the next day. On the 12th of March, we had our flight back home. In the morning, we finalized our pieces of luggage. Then, we went to the airport by car. When we arrived at the airport, we had to check in and then went to our gate to wait for our flight. When the time came, we boarded our flight back to our home country, Malaysia. I will recommend Taiwan as a place to visit. It has given me one of the best experiences I have ever had throughout my life. This country is super efficient, clean and organized. It gave me Tokyo vibes due to its modern design. I will always remember the moments I had in this country.

So, why do I favour Physics? To be put simply, I love stuff that includes calculation. You might ask, "If so, why didn't I like math more than physics." I love physics more than math because it explains how the world around us works in simple and clear ways. Physics helps us understand everyday things, like how cars move, why the sky is blue, and how electricity powers our homes. It makes learning fun and practical because you can do experiments and see real results, which makes the concepts easier to understand and remember. While math often deals with abstract ideas that can be hard to visualize, physics gives us a way to see and touch what we are learning about. This hands-on approach makes physics more engaging and easier to relate to our everyday lives. By studying physics, you can gain a deeper appreciation of the world and how everything fits together, making it a more rewarding and exciting subject to explore.

The first time I went out with my friends was on 17th June when me, Mubaraq, Huffaz and Afnan went to the movies in Palm Mall. We woke up around 6.15 to do our morning prayers. Then, around 6.45 a.m., we went to the dining hall to eat. After that, we got ready to go out to Palm Mall, Seremban 2. At around 9.15 a.m., we went to the gate and waited for our taxi to arrive. When it arrived, it took us there and then we explored the mall. Since there was a cinema on the top floor, we rushed to the cinema to buy movie tickets to watch The Flash 2023. Since I didn't bring my wallet with me, Mubaraq treated me to the tickets. Then came our waiting period, we were hungry so we went to 7/11 to buy some snacks. Then, when the time arrived, we went inside to watch the Flash. My overall movie review is that the movie was not developed well enough and the CGI effects were just funny and looked so fake. After the movie finished, we went to Mr. D.I.Y to buy some stuff for our biology project which was to make a 3D cell with its compositions. It was kind of hard to find since the store was big, but we got the job done. Then, we headed to Burger King on the bottom floor to eat our lunch. My friend, Mubaraq gave me 2 burgers because we were very hungry, but my other 2 friends had to buy them themselves. After that, we headed to Daiso to buy some snacks, school accessories and personal care items. Then, we booked a grab back to our college. Overall, my first outing with friends was a huge success. It was fun, entertaining, meaningful and also useful. I will always remember this day.
