1. When Plessy tried to aboard an all white train car they told him to sit in the colored section, and he refused. He was then arrested by authorities.

2. No, when you vote people in to represent and run your state most of the time they only show the good parts of themselves. When they get voted in they may go against everything they said when running for the position that they are in. That is when the government needs to step in and say no.

3. Recent law enforcement shooting innocent people. Some of them may not have been innocent but law enforcement handled it the wrong way. They were way too violent, and may have broken the rules that they were trained by. Many people are upset because they aren't getting in trouble for what they did. I think it is a major problem, and if it continues it will make it to the supreme court.

1. Plessy sat in a white train car, and was convicted for it. The end of the case birthed the phrase "separate but equal".

2. No. Sometimes the federal government's involvement in cases has been negative, but there have been many times where revolutionary ideas were brought up and passed as laws.

3. One recent disagreement is the gay marriage debate. Since the federal government legalized it, some states have made it legal themselves. However, there are still some states that keep it from happening legally, which is not good.

1. They started to segregate everything from hospitals to phone booths to coke machines. They then started to segregate trains and buses which became a big problem. Plessy was going on a bus and he had an eighth of African american in him. The attendant was told if he lets Plessy on the bus he/she is in trouble. They then had to make him move, but he refused and was arrested. Which then led to Plessy V. Ferguson a famous Supreme court case.

In my opinion I do, but at the same time I don't. The reasoning that I do is because the federal government doesn't actually live through out where we live.

Many of the states want for the people in their state to allow them to marry the ones they want to.
