The partnership of the schools taking part in the project focuses on exchanging or building ideas in order to find a fruitful balance between student oriented teaching methods and the ones which are more teacher centered. Participating persons will exchange experiences, methods and work techniques in order to improve the quality of school education in their native schools. Together, educators will develop, test and implement approaches and practices, making maximum use of the teacher-centered approach in conjunction with teaching in which learners are active participants. This will be done in a variety of learning subjects at the primary school stage.

The main goals of the project are:

• expanding knowledge in the field of mathematics, science and technology;

• developing writing and reading skills in the mother tongue and in English;

• the use of critical thinking skills in relation to controversial issues of tolerance and diversity;

• how practical-aesthetic subjects can provide natural opportunities to stimulate, train and develop students 'different senses, which in turn can increase students' engagement and interest in learning at school;

• effective use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the above-mentioned approaches.

 

The aim is also to observe and compare different approaches and job shadowing (eTwinning) by attending the course in other learning contexts. Participants will be able to reflect critically on their own teaching practices. Thanks to a broader repertoire of teaching methods and an enhanced performance competence, participants will be able to make lasting changes and improvements to teaching in their own schools.
