One of my greatest take aways is found in Matthew 5:14-16 Jesus says, "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." These are the thoughts that run through my mind every time I was asked to minister to someone. I would shy away or decline.

After going through the Making Disciples class, I was reminded that each one of us is called to minister. As long as we're one chapter ahead, we can share the gospel and that maturity comes as we minister. So, let us continue to break that mindset that we are not yet ready but instead let us fill our minds with God's promises. He will be the one to strengthen us, He will be the one to give us the courage and the boldness to share. We just have to step out in faith and trust Him.

Matthew 10:20 For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

Thankful for my VG leader for the shared lives and wisdom as well as for being generous of her time. Indeed, a leader full of FAITH.

"Walk the talk." What goes out of one's mouth must reflect the life and the character he/she lives. And Jesus is the perfect example of a Discipler and a Leader. It can be seen with the way He has lived his whole life here on Earth. 

"And Jesus said to them, "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men."". - Matthew 4:19
In discipleship, it is never our job to change the heart of a person, it is never our job to fix his/her life, it is never our job to convert him/her as a follower of Christ. Our main job is to "Follow Christ". Following and obeying His words will shed light to us as we go through our calling.

Lastly, the Gospel does not end to me. It is meant to be proclaimed and shared to all people who are also lost. My prayer is that God will use my story to be a testimony of His goodness and grace. Discipleship is never about me or us, it is about Him, His glory and the advancement of His kingdom. :)

Learning Application is Not that Easy.
I was not an easy person to disciple. It took one very patient victory group leader to help my formative years in Christianhood. Aside from attending church which was very conscious effort on my part, I surrounded myself with Christian friends who planted seeds in me for 8 years. Now that I have alot of bible verses memorized, 8 years of being discipled, it felt, andami kong bala to disciple others. I was wrong. Discipleship is not an easy task because I know I'm very blunt with words and tactless to a fault. Nakakapagod ha. It was right for me to follow the advice of my VG leader to attend this discipleship course. For that I'm grateful. This discipleship forum helped me prepare myself in dealing with baby Christians and people of other faiths.
