It was a long process that began mid year (January) and involved a lot of documenting, different types of teaching approaches, and thing of the sort. Eventually, after months, he got an IEP at the end of June.

From what I could gather there was some trepidation prior to this evaluation about whether it would be wise to evaluate a student so late in their school-age years, but both the student and many of his teachers felt relieved that he could get the ICT resources he needed to thrive.
