I would not sign the consent, because in the text the doctors have said that they will be giving the best possibe treatment, and that even if you just participate, you will get 100 dollars, which is about 3,200 dollars now, and if you get sick you will be rewarded with another 100 dollars. Well what if I get sick and the doctors can't save me, in the text it says that the doctors will be giving the best tretment they possibally can, I don't know that having the best treatment will save me! And also 100 dollars is honestly is a very small amount of money for risking your life. Life is priceless. And even if I do die, who will I give my money to? The text says that they want single people to be able to proceed with the testing, but what if I do die and I have no one to give the money to, who will I give it to? The doctors would most likely take the money. And if these many people are alredy signingb the consent, then I don't think that I would be needed because in the reading, there was a picture which a lot of people, around 65. Also, since yellow fever is a disease that could spread quickly and most people die, there is a likely chance I will die or get sick in some way, then the money would go to waste.
