         <description><![CDATA[<div>BDD is a body image disorder characterized by excessive, intrusive, and uncontrollable thoughts that are centered on the sufferer's perceived bodily flaws.&nbsp; The sufferers perceived flaws may be nonexistent, but to them it's prominent and causes severe emotional distress.</div><div>It has similar characteristics to OCD- sufferers obsess over their body and feel compelled to do things to change it, such as starving, binge eating, purging, not leaving the house, and more. <br>Because these thoughts are excessive and hard to control, it's hard for sufferers to focus on other things.
