For some reason the file uploaded has some weird coloration which does not show the original versions of the photo. I didn't even edit these to be that way.

- Symmetrical works because the image is focused on the tree towards the middle, deeper into the image. Everything on each side is proportionate to the other side and equal.

- Breaking the rules works because there is no form of composition for that mode that was sought after, and it is successfully and interestingly "messy." In that, there was no organization that was used to compose it, yet it turned out well when I messed around with my manual mode.

- Changing the format and changing the format (2) work because in the frame, the image is more focused, and then in the second iteration where the frame has been changed, it is now more inclusive and larger.

- Color contrast works because on one side, you have a "grass" green, and then opposed/contrasting it is this very slate/clay-like color where both fillings meet.

- For the basketball hoop, I said that it was diagonals because if you look at the hoop strings or the "basket," you can see how each part of the net is diagonal in relation to other pieces of the netting. So, because of how it is structured and weaved, it appears to be diagonal and patterned.

- The extreme point of view is meant to show the whole frame of the park and the river and everything that surrounds it; I put it under the extreme point of view label because there's a lot going on and the focal point is in the middle of the picture where everything is surrounding it in relation. Which I would denote as being extreme.

- Framing the subject works because the red leaf is framed specifically in that picture to be the focal point and subject matter.

- Full frame works for this picture because it incorporates the entirety of the tree's red/green leaves.

- I labeled "golden ratio" for this picture because the branches remind me how the golden ratio curls and forms.

- Leading lines work for the picture above because each parking lot line is a line that goes "endlessly" as prescribed in the frame/picture/image.

- The "looking for details" image shows a macro close-up of a leaf, which I thought is exactly, by definition,what looking for details means.

- Again, where the river shows up, I used this to show leading nose room and movement because you have the river moving from the bottom of the image and it continuing on its path, and you follow it with your eye.

- Negative, positive, and the relationship between the two all work in a symbolic way, where you have the light representing positive and the black or darkened shape of shade representing the negative. And then there's a picture where the two meet and have a relationship.

- For the pyramid composition format, I said "pyramid" because of the inverted shape of the beams.

- For the rule of thirds, I said the rule of thirds because in that picture the beams meet at some of the four points.

Weegee worked in Manhattan's Lower East Side as a press photographer during the 1930s and 1940s and developed his signature style by following the city's emergency services and documenting their activity. Much of his work depicted unflinchingly realistic scenes of urban life, crime, injury and death.

Photomontage, 2026

This "photomontage" highlights the journey of friendships, from an ephemeral perspective, and represents the friendships made along the way that either stay or drift away. This world is simpler; people don't make and break friendships or let their closest friends steep low. The old days were simpler, as we are told. Blending, hue+saturation, masking, image selection, and filters were used to create this photomontage. Symbolism is shown by the people walking and talking. I was inspired by Tom Hussey's work, and he uses realistic surrealism to get his message across his work.

Digital Composite, 2026

Riding through adrenaline, this piece depicts a surreal high speed descent on a snowy mountainside, symbolizing the idea that some things in life you cant control and just have to ride out. By combining a skiing bear and a speaker, I wanted to challenge the viewers perspective of power and absurdity. This composite shows surrealism through dislocation by putting a grizzly bear at the top of a mountain and juxtaposition by making the bear wear skis as well have myself ride on its shoulders. This piece reflects my interest in Inspiration from your Photography Course

This digital composite showcases the beauty of the natural world. By combining the tree and the climber, I wanted to challenge the viewers' perception of protecting the natural world. This piece is meant to show the beauty of the natural world, with elements from many different aspects, merging into one beautiful composite. The climber ascending the steep vertical is meant to represent the difficulty of protecting our environment. The obstacles in the climbers' way, the baby birds, and squirrels are meant to symbolize the obstacles and challenges that come with protecting our natural environment, like navigating legislation, resource management, and property ownership.

As fog rolls in you have no other choice but to dock, theres no going back now. Not knowing what you could encounter on the island, your forced to explore a ghost infected island with nothing but what you can carry in your satchel. This Digital Composite symbolizes overcoming hard challenges. By combining the arch and the pirate ship, I wanted to frame the pirate ship to make it a main focal point that the viewer sees. I wanted to challenge the viewers perspective of uncertainty. This composite shows surealism through the dislocation placing a pirate ship docking on an island instead of being at sail in sea, or placing a ghost on the island rather than in a graveyard. It also shows transformation by adding a layer of fog across the image to give it the more eerie illusion. This piece reflects my intrest in composition, I really like the way the arch frames the ship and the leading line of the trail, I also liked how I created depth with the fog and castle in the background.

as winter approaches the animals looks for food to store and the predators look for easy food before the snow falls. the leafs in the back ground where one of my first pictures i took and one of my favorites same with the squirrel in the image so this was vary nostalgic to make this project. this piece shows my love for taking nature photos well i was in this class.

This composite is meant to focus on the theme of sacrifice and putting it all on the line for what you believe. By combining the open sea and all the ships, I wanted to show the viewer a new light onto the theme of sacrifice. One large ships valiantly fights multiple planes and ships, down to the last man, to do what they believe is right. This piece reflects my interest in contrast.
