The 20 June of 1837, Victoria succeeded her uncle William IV. She moved to Buckingham Palace. She began exerting. She became the richest woman in the world. The 28 June 1838, it was her coronation.

Her family:
Victoria fell in love with her first cousin Prince Albert and they got married. Victoria fell pregnant after her wedding. She had nine children. She carried the haemophilia gene, which affects 10 of her male descendants.

She was engulfed in a political crisis. Robert Peel agreed to become prime minister provided Victoria replaced some of her ladies. She refused and reappointed. The Queen who rode in an open carriage.  was the target of eight attempts to kill or assault her during her lifetime. Victoria attended the first State Opening the new Palace of Westminster in 3 February of 1852. The 7 September of 1858, Victoria became patron of 150 institutions, with the help of Albert. Victoria became the Empress of India to tie the monarchy and Empire closer together. 
She became very popular in Britain. In 22 january of 1901,Victoria died after weeks of ill health. She had a very important role at that time.

In the second photo, I can see that there are larger houses, with gardens, they are not together and I suppose it was a higher society where they had more wealth.
At that time there was a lot of difference in societies. There were the richest people to the poorest without resources.

Prince Albert caught this disease. The second disease was Cholera. They believed that disease was caused by the air being polluted by waste.  Each time thousands of people died and in terrible pain. They suffered vomiting and diarrhea  with very bad stomach pains. The actual cause of death was often dehydration, because there isn`t not enough water.

No women could vote,  There were no important female political figures. At work, women had few opportunities. Women's legal rights were also restricted. They usually did not work. Their role in the family was to supervise the household. In my opinion women in old times were  very understimated.

He did poems: "Ravenna", "Poems", "Prose Poems", "The Sphinx", "Ballad of Reading Jail", "Requiescat".
He also did theather plays: "Vera or the Nihilists", "The Duchess of Padua", "Lady Windermere's Fan", "A Woman of No Importance", "Salome", "An Ideal Husband", "The Importance of Being Earnest".

Curious facts:
Oscar Wilde fans, every time they visit his grave, they put on lipstick and kissed the grave, but crystals were placed on the grave, to prevent it.
He studied at home from the age of nine.
He showed his intelligence from a young age.
