Glassware Throughout The Ages - Curated by Raymond Pichardo

Hello everyone! This is my mini exhibit showcasing the art of glasswork throughout history, specifically drinking glasses. Observing from left to right we can see the earliest piece in this collection to the newest, highlighting how glassworking techniques have evolved and the complexity with it. What I really wanted people to see from this collection was the intricate yet fragile nature of glass, and how important it was to earlier cultures. Glassblowing was first invented by the Syrians and offered a wide variety of possibilities for glasswork, which was later adopted and exported to all parts of the Roman Empire. I hope you can enjoy and appreciate these pieces of art as I have and see their significance to the way we view glass today!
