For the Santa face art activity, I would lead it to infants in steps.

Step 1: Get supplies ready.

Step 2: Give crayons to babies and let them colour the plate with teachers guidance.

Step 3: Finish the activity for them with a ‘help’ from babies.

Before we do the art activity, I would sing a song related to Christmas and make it short and simple. I would have the babies move around while singing, and I would let babies watch me ‘dance’ move around too.

We also planned to let the students glue their own tongue but if we changed planned to do it in the smaller age we would need to fix the tongue for the infants and toddlers.

I would use the the glue stick instead of the liquid glue, and I would add glue to the paper plate and help the infant to add the tissue paper to the paper plate. And also I would add glue to the Google eyes and let the infant put the Google eye to the paper plate. Same with the tongue id add the glue and let the infant put it on the paper plate.

Leading babies in art activities sounds impossible. But what I think of is, start with basic art supplies. Give them ‘free play’ in the art activity.

We have to watch babies in case they put toxic supplies in their mouth and the things we need to prepare are safe location, safe supplies, and being aware.

We need to watch students well so they won’t make a mess to the floor and watch them how they are doing the activity to see how well they are doing.

Leading babies in art we would let the babies put on the art apron if they will do painting. And if they will be colouring , we gotta make sure it’s washable. And explain what art activities we will do.

When we are preparing for the art activities, put the mat or the cloth on top of the table or on the floor. Use the washable paint and , with the the markers they can do colouring if the art activities need some colouring.

We would tell them (we do not eat or lick paint brushes.) i would show how it will be done, first i would paint the sun with the colour yellow than the land with colour green and ask them if they want to add something in the sky they can. Watch them what they are doing just to make sure they are being careful with the paint brushes. When they are done ask them to wash hands and help with putting back paint brushes and clean the area. While cleaning we would be singing a song clean up.
