John Locke believed in natural born rights and limitation of government. Because of his beliefs and because he fought for them he influenced the US Constitution. The US Constitution was created to protect natural born rights and to limit the government. The document laid out a number of natural born rights as well as government limitations. This included freedom of speech and freedom of religion among many more.

Charles Montesquieu (Zara McKelvey)

Good job! My enlightenment thinker probably agree with your thinker's idea of limitation of the government. Montesquieu created the separation of powers to keep all the power from going to one person. He also crested new classifications of government, and in these classifications, democracy is virtue, while monarchy and tyranny are things like fear and pride. This shows that Montesquieu would agree with Locke's belief of limitation of government.
