Fiction Story:
Christmas time was approaching fast and Ted didn't have much savings to spend. Right now Ted was in debt and his check didn't come in until the end of the month. He needed a plan, and quick. Ted was going to get a loan from his bank. He drove the next morning to 'Murican Express and got a loan for $200 but paid 10% of interest which was $20 because of his bad credit. The next day he went shopping in Gucci for his daughter and whipped out his debit card feeling like a king (which he is never going to be because he is so pathetic he lives in his daughter's basement). He didn't have a very smart budget and had a big opportunity cost, either buy one Gucci sock or get gifts for every one of his 18 kids, he chose the Gucci sock. Ted barely had enough money after the sock costed $180 and tax was $19. He had one expense today that wiped his
bankaccount clean, but it was worth it. On Christmas Ted sat on no capital that he could invest. Ted's daughter named Malicia opened her gift to great disappointment when the sock matched none of her 386.39584168437 outfits. Ted was glad his daughter was so happy and he knew he himself had great personal finance and had a income check of $6.89 waiting for him at his dead grandma's house. Rebecca was invited to so many Christmas parties and birthday parties, but all of them she had to buy presents. Uh Oh! The other problem is she didn't have enough in her bank account so she had to go get a loan from the bank so she could buy her best friend a Birthday present (which is in a month). She went to the bank and found out she had very bad credit. If she did get a loan she would have to pay a big amount of interest. Instead she just used her Debit card to buy the presents. Then she realized she didn't have enough on her debit card so she was in debt! Man oh man was she hoping she would find a big pile of money. Then it hit her that she could invest! Great she said I need capital to get started with the investment.
      - 3 weeks later-

Rebecca decided she needed to get a job so she can get some income right away then when she gets a job she will make a budget. She needs to start learning how to save before she has a budget though. Then taxes came in the mail and she lost hope! She decided it would be best to go out for ice cream (even though she is worrying about wasting money). When she got the her favorite ice cream place she remembered she had to make a decision between chocolate or vanilla. This is and opportunity cost. She decided to get vanilla. Oh great she said now I have all these things that I bought using a check and now I cant pay for it even though I promised!

Fiction Story...
Once upon a time in 1784 there was a very small town in the land of 'Kchekleshaniondondingdongwollabingbong', but this town wasn't just any town. This town was a very special town, their mayor, the most ungrateful, meanest human being EVER, Sir Professor Dr. Heff Bill, but we'll call him Dr. Bill. Ever since the Treaty of 1763 when it hadn't gone his way and Britain won the war against the French and Native people. He also didn't believe in how Canada should have mixed economy, he believed in command economies. He wanted to be the leader in that economy. He wanted him and the rest of the government to have complete power.
"HEY, YOU!", Dr. Bill shouted, "YES, YOU!", as a regular pedestrian walked by pointing a finger at himself looking confused.
"GET OVER HERE!", he screamed in frustration. The pedestrian walked over, "Yes... sir?" Dr. Bill angrily replied, "Do you REALLY think it's okay to be in debt with that much money??"
"Um, sir, I think you have the wrong person," the pedestrian said.
"Listen, here, Bub, if you want to try and trick me and say, 'Oh, please I'm innocent please, you have the wrong person', then you're gonna find out why you should never do that again... UNDERSTOOD?"
The pedestrian was acting very confused, "Sir, I don-"
"I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANY EXCUSES!!!"
The pedestrian started thinking to himself, 'Hmmmm, could I try to get a loan from the bank?' The answer was yes, he was going to try to. He was in debt for a lot, though, $1,234,567,890, exactly. So he decided to get the loan, then use credit to pay it off later. The mayor decided never to bother that very pedestrian again.
THE END

Board Game...
Players: 2-3
My board game is pretty straight forward, there is 14 cards with questions on them. You shuffle the deck of cards and draw the top card. Whatever the question is you must answer correctly. If you answer it correctly, you get to move up however many spaces it says. If you get it wrong 3 times in a row, you start back at the beginning.
Questions:
1) How much percent of Canadians live within 100 miles of the U.S. border?
2) Where is Quebec in Canada?
3) Is the Canadian Shield in southwest Canada?
4) How much percent of Canada's acid rain comes from U.S. factories?
5) Are these all examples of natural resources: coal, wood, timber, water, air, metal, phone.
6) How long have humans been living in Canada?
7) Is Canada a bilingual country?
8) Does Canada have a command economy?
9) What does NAFTA stand for?
10) Is Quebec its own country, apart from Canada?
11) What year did Britain beat the Native people and the French?
12) Is Canada cold or warm?
13) Is the Hudson Bay near the Canadian Shield?
14) Does hydro mean air?

Create a Fiction/Non-fiction story

The Architect (Realistic fiction story.)

Heimlich would stand outside the gas chamber in fear, hoping, praying, that he wouldn’t end up in there. Heimlich is a Jew in the WWII, his race is looked down upon by a German political party called the Nazis. But this story isn’t about the Nazis, it’s about Heimlich.

Our story starts in Germany, the birthplace of the Nazis. Heimlich always dreamed of being an architect, and he was about to achieve that dream. As he walked to his new job, he ran into his friend, Niles. “Heimlich! Off to your new job, then? I hear they have some great and famous architects there!” “In time, I may be one of them.” Replied Heimlich. They talked for awhile, and bid themselves goodbye.

As Heimlich walked to his new job, he saw Soldiers walking through the town, he saw the Nazi swastika on their uniforms. He knew this wouldn’t end well, so his first instinct was to book it back home. And he did just that.

Heimlich would wait in his home for the entire day, and when night came, things took a turn for the worse. He heard things break and gunfire outside. His town was a mostly jewish town, and that explained why the Nazis were here. It was a purge.

This event would later be known as Kristallnacht, or The night of broken glass. And it was just that, a night of broken glass. No matter how hard he tried, the Nazis caught him. They sent him to the concentration camp in Auschwitz, Poland. And that’s where we are. Heimlich staring at the gas chamber, praying for his life.

Heimlich stayed there for some time. He lost friends, made new ones, and then lost them again. He was one of the better workers, so they kept him longer. He got used to the fear of dying, and almost hoped for it.

However, everyday, Heimlich went to the gates and just stared, looking at the outside world. He wanted to see the world again, design things again. He was an Architect, and he wasn’t going to be cooped up in a prison. He needed to be free.

One day, he got fed up. On his daily look at the gates, he looked around, and then started climbing over the gate.

Fiction Story: As I tread through the snow one chilly afternoon I was brushed backwards by a strong gust coming out of seemingly nowhere as I tumbled to the ground I seemed to keep falling! As it turns out I was falling into a time space portal, to the time of WW1! As I looked around silently I saw many things all at once militarism, children fawning over propaganda put up all over, and much more. When I settled into an orphan home I witnessed many things in my new time period, first as I walked across my new town I saw people praising our new leader after the Russian Revolution, Vladimir Lenin. I realized time was moving at a much faster pace and many important historical events whirled around me. A treaty for the country The Treaty of Versaille our leader was not happy he took our land. There was outrage in my country and many of my fellow orphans starved it was an economic depression throughout the country. What happened next created pain and suffering for along time and brute force forced many into suffering it was the rise of the Nazi party...

My game is called Collector there are cards with definitions the words are connected to the definition and the third card is a picture you sit in a circle and try to collect all three cards by passing the shuffled deck through each person when the three desired cards have been obtained you grab an item from the middle of the group preferably a long skinny one easy to grab if you have 5 people playing you will put lets say 4 pencils in the middle when the first person to collect all three cards grabs the pencil everyone else has free reign to grab the closest one since there were only 4 pencils one person will be out. These cards will have concepts about government positions and government officials.

Other Game:
https://www.playfactile.com/socialstudiesgovermentgame
