Now more than ever everyone needs to be able to decide if what they are reading is biased or intentionally trying to trick them into believing something false. For an elderly grandpa, this can be hard if they do not know where to start. The first and most important step is to look into it a little more and see if they are trying to convince you of something or just stating facts. If they aren't just stating the facts and are trying to push a narrative more likely than not it is biased and has an agenda.

Grandpa could get more involved, if he had better access and better ways to identify new sources by showing him easy ways to evaluate credible information. I think with him an evaluation expertise can show him critical skills and how they could check for multiple sources that are valid. By him learning to identify expertise can show an easier learning process for him to figure out. And to use in the future for him. I am confident that by using this PowerPoint, he will be able to see how much easier it is to evaluate expertise overall.
