2-I'm not sure on that one bc I don't decide what the kids do but if I did it would be a craft

4-fruit salad -first I would start chopping all the fruit on a green board and make the fruit salad in a big bowl before putting it in the individual bowls I will also check the allergens to see if theirs any child allergic and make a separate fruit salad with that they are allowed

their are seven areas of learning which children must be taught to help their development.

Tea party-Include all the favourite toys and teddies in their own tea party. This can be including measuring and pouring different levels and liquids for some practical life skills as well as having discussion topics and taking turns when joining in with the conversation.

Nursery Rhymes-Nursery rhymes and repetitive songs with actions are an excellent vehicle for changes of intonation in voice and encouraging simple actions. You can find more information on the developmental progress stages here.

Roleplay -roleplay can include an end goal (catching the baddie), use of imaginary weapons or having a real-life purpose (shopping for food). Ensure your fancy dress box is fully stocked, using different textures of material

Charades-A timeless game, where vocabulary understanding is key to being able to describe it well. Remind them they can use their senses by linking to rhyming sounds.

feely boxes-Linking to their senses and concrete experience, place an object with texture (spikey ball, jelly, water snake) in a box that is covered with only a slot for their hands to feel. Cue the squeaks and squeals as they find the jelly texture.

Sensory and Motor Development: Infants and toddlers engage in sensory exploration through role play. Playing with different textures, shapes, and sizes of toys helps develop their sensory perception. Grasping, reaching, and manipulating objects during play also contribute to the refinement of their fine and gross motor skills.

Imagination and Creativity: Role-play allows children to develop their imagination and creativity. By pretending to be different characters or engaging in imaginative play scenarios, children can explore new ideas, concepts, and possibilities, and develop their storytelling abilities. This type of play helps children to think outside the box, problem-solve, and come up with creative solutions to various challenges they may encounter. This imaginative play sets the stage for more complex forms of creativity later on.

Social and Emotional Bonds: Role-play helps children to develop essential social and emotional skills. It allows children to experiment with different roles and scenarios and learn how to communicate, negotiate and express themselves. By participating in role-play, children learn skills such as sharing, taking turns, and cooperating with their peers. They also develop empathy, understanding, and respect for others, which are key elements of their social and emotional growth.

Cultural awareness and understanding: Role play can introduce children to different cultures, traditions, and lifestyles, fostering respect and appreciation for diversity. It allows them to explore various occupations, customs, and societal roles, expanding their knowledge and understanding of the world around them.

Tracing is a great way to support letter recognition and formation. For this activity we used a Tuff tray, some paints and an Acrylic tuff tray mat. Start by writing the letters directly onto the tuff tray in paint. Then add your acrylic mat on top and your little ones can trace over the letter with paint pens or a paintbrush.
