ART

Specific terminology and concepts are present throughout art, such as the elements of art. The reason these exist within the AOK of Art is so the ideas and structure behind a particular piece can be shared among others, and will not be stored in only someone's personal knowledge. For example, the art piece "Napoleon Crossing the Alps" is a nice painting on its own, but by introducing specific terminology its meaning is able to be shared among the community rather than just being the artist's own secret knowledge. If we are to look specifically at the term "Value", we can see its presence within the painting, and how it contributes to the meaning by showing that Napoleon is going to a better things, i.e., victory. This shows just what an important role the specific terminology of an AOK plays on its ability to be shared knowledge instead of personal knowledge.

Christianity, Islam, and Judaism are all variations of the same religion that worships the same God, but all have different beliefs and opinions based on inaccurate retellings of the same events. (Excluding events that are reported to have happened to each individual religion.) This is all shared knowledge, but it has been retold so many times, that it has become more of a tall tale than solid fact. No one knows how exactly these events happened, just that they did happen, and certain parts of the Bible and the other religious texts have been manipulated, inserted, modified, and cut out all together to the point that no one truly knows the whole story. For example, people always assume that there were three wise men who visited Jesus on his birth, but most accounts of the Bible do not actually say how many wise men there were. Another example is that in order to maintain global peace, and prevent war from breaking out, certain parts of religious texts and history are cut out from their main sources in order to prevent two sides turning an argument into an all out war.

An example of shared knowledge is in mathematics. For us to get this far in the field of math we needed to work together, to share what we know and expand on it together. If we didn't share what we learned in math we wouldn't even have 2+2, we would have varying different levels of knowledge, some having none and some having a lot. It took a team of mathematicians to send us to space, if we didn't share our knowledge we would be stuck in the past, so math is a prime example of how we share knowledge and how it helps us succeed.
