Luana spent months perfecting her final piece, which was dedicated to her mother, who hadn’t seen her artwork before the exhibition.

I focused on Fetish Markets, which was one of the local traditions of ‘Vodun’ where a Fetish can be a god, human, plant, animal or material, and I combined this with some of the beautiful African fashions to create my final exhibition piece.

The subject is coursework-based so this takes the pressure off not having to do exams at the end of the course."
