Area of interest:

Host-community integration of forcibly displaced people; ‘better’ data about PoCs; and inclusion of PoCs into national statistical system

***** We are looking for a partner who is interested in quantitative analysis of data which will be collected in Zambia very soon. The main sites are Mayukwayukwa and Meheba. It will be ‘verification’ meaning 'census,' so we will ask questions in socio-economic areas covering livelihoods and employment, also possibly food security to all PoCs in the registration system. I am an early career researcher, having just started my PhD. For the past 9 years I have worked frontline for the homelessness charity Crisis UK, and before that for a variety of funders including Big Lottery Fund and Children in Need.

Internally displaced persons (IDPs), children affected by armed conflict, children with disabilities, ethnic minorities, migrants, street children.

She also facilitates capacity building activities for international organisations and acts as academic tutor and thesis supervisor on both Master (Master in Public Policy and Human Development) and Bachelor level (University College Maastricht) in the area of development and migration studies. 

Prior to joining UNU-MERIT/MGSoG, Sarah obtained a BSc (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Middlesex University in London (2013) and worked in research/clinical administration in the Research Psychiatry Department at Trinity College Dublin and as a Counsellor in various non-for-profit organisations in the Greater Dublin Area. She speaks fluent Spanish, German and English, and has working knowledge of French and Portuguese.
