         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Sarah Roeder</strong><br>Maastricht University - United Nations University - MERIT<br>Researcher <br><br>Having obtained her Master in Public Policy &amp; Human Development from UNU-MERIT/MGSoG with a specialisation in Migration and Innovation studies, Sarah Roeder joined UNU-MERIT/MGSoG as a researcher in Oct 2018, where she has since been involved in commissioned projects for country governments and international organizations (IOM, WHO, GIZ, the <a href="https://www.reminder-project.eu/">European Commission's H2020 REMINDER project</a>, ICMPD, Transparency International) focusing on migration decision-making, return &amp; reintegration, evaluations of mobility programs and partnerships, and migrant (mental) health.<br><br></div><div>She also facilitates capacity building activities for international organisations and acts as academic tutor and thesis supervisor on both Master (Master in Public Policy and Human Development) and Bachelor level (University College Maastricht) in the area of development and migration studies.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>Prior to joining UNU-MERIT/MGSoG, Sarah obtained a BSc (Hons) in Counselling &amp; Psychotherapy from Middlesex University in London (2013) and worked in research/clinical administration in the Research Psychiatry Department at Trinity College Dublin and as a Counsellor in various non-for-profit organisations in the Greater Dublin Area. She speaks fluent Spanish, German and English, and has working knowledge of French and Portuguese.<br><br></div>]]></description>
