At the time women weren't allowed to talk about slavery.  Mott and Stanton were encouraged by anger, so they decided to host a women's rights convection. They also came up with a proposal for women's rights, and it ws called the Declaration of Sentiment on the Declaration of Independence.

    The first ever convention was for women suffrage.  (the right to vote) At work,school,chruch, and for voting. Even abolitionist like Sojourner Truth, and Fredrick Douglass were active supporters of the cause. It slowly made progress but it wasn't until 1920 when women were offically allowed to vote. Many thought it was the only way to promote liberty,and eqaulity. The abolitionist movement have  been going ever since the revolutionary era. Mostly becaue they thought it was an inhumane way to treat people.The most known abolitionists were ex-slave Fredrick Douglass,Sojourner Truth, and the Grimke Sisters.

Ever since Fredrick escaped being a slave he had lectured againist slavery, and he also made a mewspaper named North Star. To tell his stories about being a slave. Another well known escaped slave was Harriet Tubman who was one of the conductors for the underground railroad.
