The promise that genetically modified crops could help feed the world is at least as old as the commercialization of the first transgenic seeds in the mid-1990s. The corporations that helped turn genetically engineered crops into a multibillion-dollar business, including the large chemical companies Monsanto, Bayer, and DuPont, promoted the technology as part of a life science revolution that would greatly increase food production.

With the advancement of GMOs, I feel that it would help with the world hunger issue. If crops are modified to be able to grow in barren environments or in very rainy conditions this would help a lot of people. If there was more of the crop per year, they would be able to be preserved for longer periods of time. I feel the GMOs are a great scientific advancement in the fact that kids that aren’t getting enough to eat could have rice that has the fortified vitamins that they need for health. There could be more vitamins and nutrients in one piece of fruit, rather than having to buy multiple fruits to get the same amount. I am excited to see what the future holds for these genetically modified crops.

Frames: Advancement, fortified vitamins
Tone of voice: Positive

Nutritional Benefits
GM foods are being developed to have enhanced nutritional content to benefit your health. Biotech companies are also developing crops that have higher vitamins and minerals, as well as enhanced antioxidant content, which may help prevent chronic diseases.

Frames: Enhanced, benefits.
Tone of voice: Positive
https://www.livestrong.com/article/195435-benefits-you-get-from-a-gmo/
