You also want to make sure you don't get behind in your work. If you get behind it might be harder for you to complete all of your work on time, and by the end of quarter.  
One thing that I really like to focus on not just in science but in every subject is that mistakes happen. Mistakes are a part of learning and without mistakes we wouldn't be able to learn. 1. Read your lessons! 
They're pretty easy to go through. They break down the information for you. (Suggestion?: Maybe read the lesson before class so that you can be better prepared to participate)

2. PAY ATTENTION DURING THE CONNECTS! 
She dissects the info, so there's no problem with her teaching. Participate. Ask questions! If you're not comfortable asking in front of class, private message her, or ask at the end of class! Ask for some 1 on 1 time! TAKE ADVANTAGE of your resources.

3. DO. THE. EXIT TICKET. 
They help to summarize the information learned. If you understand the info, then it should be a breeze! If you're confused, dont'cha think that maybe (instead of jolting out of class as soon as she says "That's all folks") it would be nice to stay behind and ask questions? Copy the slides/save the whiteboard. 
If you forget to do the exit ticket at the end, then make sure to save the link. That way, you don't have to keep emailing her about what you're missing - you'll have it right there! Maybe copy them on a word doc? But this wouldn't be necessary if you pay attention. Filling out an ET takes about 5-10 seconds when you understand.

4. Do your best on the quizzes! 
It's easier to just wing them, but it can have a DETRIMENTAL effect on your grade. You have 3 attempts, use em! Don't be lazy!

5. Take notes! 
If this is for you, then make sure to have an organized notebook of sorts - something that you can find your information in without flipping back and forth through pages. Invest time and energy into purchasing notebooks and supplies that'll help you to keep track if you need it! A little extra doesn't hurt sometimes.

6. Identify and Control Weaknesses.
School isn't easy, and life if swimming fast towards us, but that doesn't mean we should settle for less! Do your best, and if you need to observe habits that can easily make you stressed out, then do so! Trust me, it'll help you to concentrate better, and you'll do better in your class. 
FOR PERSONAL REFLECTION: For me, I have a habit of pulling out my hair. It can be a distraction surprisingly, since I get this pleasure boost that makes me relax. The last thing I want is bald spots soooo...(kinda without my moms permission) I cut my hair to keep me from pulling it. Similarly, find your weakness, handle it, and take control of your habit that keeps you from performing well. Procrastinator?
