Narrative Plot Design (7th Hour) by Natalie Campbell

Instructions:
- Post the pictures (3-4) and explain the purpose/effect/benefit of each plotline design option you created.
- You should have 3-4 pictures depending on the redesigns you create. The first picture should be the chronological plotline, so we have a baseline reference of your narrative.

For people who don't know Mrs. Ingle she is an extremely sarcastic teacher, and in writing the narrative I may try to add more internal sarcatic thoughts.

Redesign 2:
In my last redesign, I wanted to try and give an emotional ending. I want the reader to be able to feel more emotion from the fear of the moment initially, but also the hope that is gained. I'm not sure how to add this to the cards, because I really just want to add more detail to the narrative. (the arrow is what i added to that card, along with the star for the new card). I also want to bring in what I think it means to live deliberately (always having hope and sticking to it) at the end as part of the main message of the narrative.

Redesign 1:
With this redesign I gave my narrative a new ending. With this ending the readers get to know what happened after the big life changing event. This gives the narrative more depth and therefore creating a more interesting story. It also gives the story a type of closure, which makes the reader feel at peace with the story. Which is what I want in some ways. This is a story of not giving up, it's not supposed to make you feel sad and hopeless.

Redesign 2:
My last redesign was basically another way to give my audience closure. Because my whole goal for my redesign is to make the audience feel the determination and hope from the story. It's not supposed to make you feel sorry for my Grandma, because she wouldn't want you too. It's the best way to portray what my Grandma went to. The theme is not giving up, and being strong.

Then it transitions into the call that Alexa (my friend who this narrative is about) gets. Finally she goes back in and reflect on herself and rethinks about her choices. This is just a basic outline and I went off in the order she told her story in. I did re-arrange some parts though. The picture is quite small, so it'd be hard to read what's on the little papers. Zoom in.

In the original, the ending did not give much closure to the story and this redesign adds structure to the overall story. The ending also shows that this story is not sad or depressing, it shows how you can overcome difficulties with work.
