(It does not need to extend to all subjects, but start thinking about one or two extensions-math might be a focus?

Does it provide for expanding on human commonalities/international mindedness?

I used to think that there were few opportunities for math to be authentically integrated into the POI and considered it as a separate subject mostly removed from the POI. I used to think that creating a stand-alone planner will be an enormous task and teachers will see this as just another thing the IB wants us to do. 

Now I think integrating math into our units of inquiry may be easier than I initially thought. I think we need to ask, “Does this inquiry have any opportunity for math?” and then look at our units from the lens of mathematics. We can make connections not only to the central idea, but also to the lines of inquiry, related concepts, learner profile, and teacher and student questions. I think math needs to be more inquiry based and will encourage teachers to try to use really powerful provocations for math. 

Identify the IB programme standards and practices that are most applicable in developing these capabilities. 

Consider what success in these areas might look like and what approaches you would use to continue developing these. (action)

Consider what evidence would demonstrate growth as a PYP leader. (impact)
