A person would create a personal budget because you want to be responsible with your expenses. “Set aside 10% of your income each month, until you have at least 3 months worth of expenses set aside.” (Planning and money management/unit 3/2). My cousin budgets all the time, which is rather easy for her. She usually doesn’t like spending money on much stuff, but she follows her budget. She budgets whenever she spends money. “Setting financial goals is an important factor in managing money wisely and establishes a “framework” for saving and spending decisions.” (Planning and money management/unit 3/2). When she budgets, she writes down the costs of things she buys, subtracts it from how much she has, and whenever she makes money and gets her paycheck, she adds that to her total. “Financial goals are usually categorized as short term, intermediate, or long term.” (Planning and money management/unit 3/3).
