It is October 31st, everyone is dressed up in Gotham. Batman lurks in the shadows while crime is happening in the city. He hunts down a group of thieves that are going to mug this older man. He defeats them all, and although Gotham thinks he is no good and is a vigilante, he still does it for the city.

Call To Action

While the Batman is fighting crime he is focused on the wrong criminals. A new villain in Gotham is on the rise and he silently breaks into the mayor's mansion and kills him. Commissioner Gordon calls Batman and asks him to investigate the crime scene. When he arrives he finds the Mayor's face taped with the phrase "No More Lies" written on it. With a letter that reads "To The Batman" written on the front, and inside it says "What does a liar do when hes dead". They figure out the riddle with the answer being he lies still.

Meeting The Mentor

The Batman and Commissioner Gordon find more clues that lead to the mayor's car. It had been broken into and they find a severed thumb with a USB drive attached to it. They copy the file and see what's on the drive, and it is a picture of the mayor leaving a night club with a mysterious girl. The Batman goes to the Iceberg Lounge and asks the owner The Penguin what happened that night and he is not helping so The Batman threatens him to give him information.

Allies, Trials, And Enemies

The Batman finds the strange woman. He figures out that she works at the club, and he follows her home and talks to her. He asks her what she knows about the mayor and she doesn't know anything except something about a rat. She says that a cop was talking about it that is all she knows. He asks her to go to the club and try to get information about the rat. She agrees but only if he helps her find her missing friend.

Crossing The Threshold

Bruce Wayne has been requested to attend the mayor's funeral. He accepts the invitation with a bunch of other high class men. While at the funeral, a car going full speed crashes inside the building. A man steps out with a bomb around his neck with a letter which once again says "To The Batman". He finally starts to understand how psychotic this person is.

The Supreme Ordeal

Once everyone evacuates the building The Batman goes inside, and the man is the one that was talking about the rat in the night club. A phone taped to his hand rings, he answers. A strange man with a mask is on the phone and he introduces himself as the "Riddler". He says you and Mr. Colson have to answer three riddles in two minutes in order for the bomb to deactivate. The first riddle " it can be cruel, poetic, or blind, but when it is denied you may find"? The Batman answers justice it is correct. The second riddle "if you are justice please do not lie, what is the price for your blind eye"? The Batman replies bribes. "The rat who is he how much is he paying you". Mr. Colson says "he hasn't asked that next riddle". The last and final riddle "since your justice is so select, please tell us, which vermin you're paid to protect". He doesn't say. The Batman tells him to say who, he refuses once again. The Riddler says "times up" as the bomb explodes.

Atonement With The Father

The Batman and Jim Gordon have more clues, and it leads them to an abandoned drop house. While looking around there is a presentation about how terrible Thomas Wayne was and he did everything for money. In the presentation it says that Bruce Wayne is his next target. He is going back to Wayne Industries and sees flames coming from the building. He calls Alfred but a maid picks up and she says a terrible tragedy has happened and that Alfred is awfully injured. When Bruce gets there a fire team says a letter was for you and a hit was set for you.

Approach The Inmost Cave

The Batman enters the Riddlers hideout to find he is not there, but he finds tons of clues. Letters to The Batman, bats, pictures of Bruce Wayne leading to The Batman. And in big letters the phrase "THE TRUTH ABOUT GOTHAM".

Reward

Officers found the Riddler in a coffee shop and he was detained. The Batman goes and interrogates him and he says a bunch of people plan on assassinating the new mayor. While everyone thinks it's over the dams explode flooding Gotham.

The Road Back

The Batman with the help of Cat Woman stop the arsonists. The Batman helps everyone out of the flood and gets them help. Gotham thinks The Batman is good and Gotham is free if crime for now.
