Before she decided to get into gaming, Christine Vallnicek studied law at one of Canada's most prestigious universities. But at 20, she took a drastic turn in her life and decided to become a CS:GO streamer. The first success came to KittyPlaysGames the same year she launched her channel: a secret admirer donated $7,000 to her account. 
Oh yeah, and most recently Christine won $1,000,000 in the Fortnite Championship in Korea. All in all, the girl made the right choice. 


Pasha Biceps - $25,000
And here is the first man on the list. Jaroslaw Jarzabkowski is a professional athlete and former member of Golden Five, one of the most successful CS:GO teams. Five years ago, Pasha Biceps was considered one of the top players and simply shined in his professional career, so his fan audience could reach 800-900 thousand people. 
In 2014, during one of his broadcasts, someone named Motar2k donated $25,000 to him, accompanying the donation with the following message: "Pasha is love. Pasha is life. Poland."


Azael - $30,000
World of Warcraft tournament champion Isaac Cummings-Bentley aka Azael received $30,000 from a mysterious Arab user nicknamed Amhai. The Arab went on to donate an even bigger sum to Sodapoppin, but more on that below. "Who is Amhai?" you ask. The answer is that no one knows, so there are a lot of versions floating around the internet. 
Some believe it is indeed a rich man from the Arab Emirates, others claim it is a fake.

Ninja - $40,000
As one of the most famous streamers on the planet, Tyler Blevins earns over $500,000 per month, so $40,000 does not seem like a lot. Nevertheless, it's the biggest donation Ninja himself can recall. 
Additionally, he received $100,000 in donations during a charity marathon, so he did not get anything from the streamer.

Sodapoppin - $57,000
Big donations were usual for Sodapoppin but they never reached this size. Apparently, Mr. Amhai appreciates the streamer more than Azael, as the $60,000 was donated by the same mysterious Arab rich man. Sodapoppin, on the other hand, was perplexed by the absurd amount for several minutes, only repeating: "Why? How can money be treated like that? Why?!" 

ExoticChaotic - $75,000
Again a Fortnite streamer, again a huge pile of money. An amount twice as big as Ninja's record was donated by a user called KingMascot. He attributes his action to his desire to help the streamer with a difficult financial situation, and his huge fortune to the fact that he was one of the first who invested in bitcoin. At the very peak he sold everything, so now that kind of money is nothing to him.

Death Stranding's gameplay is built around delivering supplies. The player must walk a lot and prepare for the trek extremely thoroughly. The game requires competent weight distribution of cargo, route planning and careful travel. Bridges can get bogged down in corners, fall off ledges and damage cargo. For a poorly delivered parcel, the hero will receive fewer likes.

Much of Death Stranding builds on the social experience. The game has multiplayer - but you can't meet other players. You can only see the result of their helpful and not so helpful actions. A Good Samaritan can build a bridge over a gorge, put up a ladder to climb a mountain, etc.

The game stars many popular actors (Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Lea Seydoux), and film and showbiz fans will be treated to many cameos. From US late-night show host Conan O'Brien, to director and Oscar winner Guillermo del Toro.

It's always harder and riskier to create something new. But this way you learn to develop your unique style quicker and use your brain to create. After all, it's a lot more fun.

Of course, playing a game based on a famous film makes it much more likely that the game will get noticed, if you can agree on how to use those images in the game. It speeds up the process of making a game, because you don't have to think a lot about the concept. But you're not creating anything new, you're just taking a ready-made idea. From a marketing point of view, this is a plus. That's how mass-market modern cinema works these days. But this approach, in my opinion, will eventually lead to creative dysfunction.
