I think Sir Syed Ahmed Khan took the right step because he wanted the British not to blame the Muslims only because British were also equally blamed in the world war. For the rights of Muslims to get free from the British, he wrote many journals, he also educated Muslims, showed them the right path, he wrote many knowledgeable books like Tehzib-Ul-Akhlaque Asar-Al-Sanadeed and Silsilat-Ul-Mulk, he did all these things for the sake of Muslims so that they can compete with the British and defeat them.He initiated his practical career by joining East India Company in 1937 as a clerk, managing court affairs and record-keeping, he first became an junior judge and then gradually he achieved the rank of Sadar-e-Amin which was the highest rank which an Indian could achieve.He was really well known for his loyalty, sincerity and cleverness. He was a sharp minded person, he did many things specially he did many things for the sake of educating Muslims. He also attended conferences for improving the educational system, he was a well known official and he worked really hard, he always did all the things with hard work and determination.

ANS: Sir Syed wanted Muslims to have a friendly relationship with the British. He quoted the examples of other religious communities benefiting from the government. While he tried his best to convince the British that Muslims were not against them, he persuaded the Muslims repeatedly to befriend the British to achieve their goals. He also wrote many books and published journals to remove the misunderstanding between Muslims and the British by writing booklets like "Loyal Muhammadans of India" and "Cause of Indian Revolt". He gave importance to the western education which helped the Muslim community a lot in the development of their country. Moreover he wanted people to keep a modernized thinking.

Sir Syed Ahmed khan established M.A.O college because he wanted Muslims to get education and to get more jobs.His slogan was that education, education and education. Before that he visited British schools in which he saw that they are working on Oxford based learning and then he used that experience to establish a college. He introduced the Union club which was modeled on the Cambridge Union society which trained the students in the arts of public speaking and leadership.This college became the Agra Muslims college in 1920 and some of its alumni which led the Pakistan movement and provided leadership to independent state of Pakistan.This college gave them religious education along with modern learning. Students of it were encouraged to take part in healthy discussions avoiding sectarian issues.
