Bagpipes is a musical instrument with reed pipes, surrounding by the pressure of wind that's emitted from a bag and squeezed by whoever wields the bagpipe's arm. It's commonly found in Scotland and Ireland!
Known to have been owned by a soldier who fought at the 1746 battle of Culloden, the soldier moved to Germany. He became a mercenary, as well as taking his instrument with him. Now, the bagpipe has been in the soldier's family for over 200 years!

The name's bit on a nose, isn't it? However, it's not actually a guitar! Sometimes spelt as "gittar", these 17^th to 19^th century instruments were popular, more so at the 19^th century for beautiful young ladies.
The English Guitar is also called a "Citra'". It has a pear shaped body, flat base with short neck as well as being related to the Portuguese guitar and the German waldzither.

Despite the piano being invented by an Italian person by the name of Bartolomeo Cristofori at the 17^th century, grandeur modern pianos are based on the late 18^th century design of an Englishman. This Englishman has the name "John Broadwood", having very popular piano designs throughout Europe, favoured by even a world-wide pianist, Ludwig van Beethoven.
According to Beethoven himself, he said "I will regard it as an altar on which I will offer to god Apollo my most beautiful sacrifices of spirit."
Additional fun fact: Beethoven violently played the pianos so much, the strings would break.

No matter where you are, no matter where you'll go, a restaurant or two will always serve a delicious plate of fish and chips. Delicious fried fish with a crispy and seasoned breading, paired with equally deliciously seasoned fries with delectable sour cream and onion dip!
(They call french fries chips in the UK! Potato chips are instead called Crisps!) 

Bangers and mash, also known as Sausages and Mash! It's a traditional UK dish that consists of appetizing sausages paired with creamy and heavenly mashed potatoes. These are also accompanied with amazing gravy as well as refreshing peas, sometimes even fried onions too as well as onion gravy. A very flexible dish, perfect for breakfast or at any time of the day.
The term bangers had supposedly originated from WW1, meat shortages causing sausages to be made with fillers, most notably, water. It causes them to explode when cooked, hence why the term, bangers.

What's a breakfast in the UK if it isn't an English Breakfast? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so why not make it one of the most delightful as well? It includes bacon, sausages, eggs, baked beans, toast, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns and last of all, black pudding.
It's also sometime called a fry-up! A very fulfilling dish indeed. If curious, black pudding is akin to bloodwurst, a type of sausage.

What an odd name. What IS "Trooping the Colour?"
Well! It's actually a very special ceremony, marking the official birthday of the British Sovereign for over 260 years!
Over a thousand and more troops, over two hundred horses, and a whopping 400 musicians all coming together on June. With them follows a great display of military discipline, precision, horsemanship and fanfare to mark the Queen's official birthday! The streets lined with crowds, waving flags with it's parade starting from the Buckingham Palace down to The Mall to Horse Guard's Parade. Even the Royal Family are inside carriages on horseback!

Not to confuse May Day with what pilots scream out, Early May Bank Holiday (it's full name!) is a holiday that supposedly originated from a Roman festival that honours the beginning of the summer season, of course, in the northern hemisphere.
However, in now more modern times, it's a day to celebrate and campaign for worker's rights as it is celebrated on the first Monday in may, celebrated as the start of the season of Summer!

Also called Offering Day. Not to be confused with the the other type of boxing where athletes box! No no, Boxing Day is held after Christmas. In tradition, this holiday is celebrated by giving to the needy as well as less fortunate. However, overtime, it has changed to become a time of year when big sales are offered by shops. Think of it as Black Friday, but to the UK! Sometimes, some shops turn it to "Boxing Week". Sheesh, talk about a nightmare for the retail workers!

The culture of Music in the United Kingdom is rich with tradition and thriving in modern music. The United Kingdom has always been a music powerhouse, even so back in it's early years. The United Kingdom's wide arrange of music back then had spanned from Church Music, to traditional folk music, to music halls and recitals.

With how diverse The United Kingdom is, there's a multitude of folk music types ranging from English, Northern Irish, Scottish and Welsh folk music. English composers is one of the most known types of music composers in Europe. One of the most notable eras of music would be Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and so on and so on!

In the now modern times, The UK is still strong in their music! With hit artists Elton John, Dua Lipa, and legendary musician, Freddie Mercury! Not just artists, The UK is home to amazing bands as well. The aforementioned Freddie Mercury, member to the famous band of Queen, then Led Zeppelin, and one of the, if not, the most known UK Band would be The Beatles!

'Til now, there's still strong and relatively new music artists within a ton of music genres. Pop, hip-hop, rap, R&B, alt rock, rock, what have you. A lot of rising artists are dabbling in multiple genres, though notably hip-hop and rap.

Ballet in the UK had been a staple, even within the early 18^th century. In the said early 18^th century, it was a time when England was a place, a place where foreign ballet dancers performed. In the year 1920, Edouard Espinosa and Phillip Richardson had founded the Association of Operatic Dancing (To become the Royal Academy of Dancing in 1936).

Now in the UK, Ballet is now one the most recognized for two leading methods, those of the Royal Ballet School and the aforementioned Royal Academy of Dance. English National Ballet is also a known company in The UK, founded by Dame Alicia Markova and Sir Anton Dolin.

Guy Fawkes' Night or otherwise called as Bonfire Night is a rather very popular celebration each year for The UK. Accompanied with huge firework displays with a comfy, warm bonfire in the night and joy-inducing sparklers at night within public parks and schools as well as people's gardens.

Though, the backstory of this is rather not-so-cheerful, going back to the 16^th century, specifically the early 16^th century, the year 1605. A man called Guy Fawkes, hence the name of the celebration, plotted to blow up some British parliament buildings. Caught and executed, people celebrate by creating a "guy' made of straw, paper and other flammable materials to burn on a bonfire.

Cheese Rolling takes place yearly, at a place called Coopers' Hill. It's found in Gloucestershire, England. In this tradition, people roll a 9lb double Gloucester cheese wheel down a hill. Unfortunately enough, it seems that the origins of this tradition is a little foggy and unknown, no one being certain on when it began.

Although, this is a tradition even people from other parts of the world can enjoy! Today, a lot of people enjoy this tradition with fellow Brits and Englishmen, despite how odd it may sound to others. It's still a fun experience nonetheless!

With how old The UK tourist spot is, The Summer Solstice at Stonehenge is an ancient tradition held at, of course, Stonehenge. Specifically at Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England, this ceremony upholds important Pagan religious history.

To the Pagans, Stonehenge is an important place due to their religion, though this tradition marks the change to the summer solstice with the sun rising behind a location within Stonehenge called The Heel Stone. Rays of sunlight beams through the monument's centre.
