This law didn't necessarily "strike" me the most because it is definitely something that I expected considering we have spent a long time learning about this topic. But, this did stand out to me the most because of how badly people wanted colored races and white people to be separated. it disgusts me how the colored people were treated. This law stood out to me because it seemed like such a ridiculous one. Telephone booths were segregated. This meant that black people probably couldn't find a phone booth for a good distance if they needed one.     This stood out to me because if a black man is in serious need of medical attention and it could be deadly, he could't get help if the nurse was a white female. He could have a life-threatening issue but they wouldn't help him only cause of the color of his skin.
