The Medina established the first Islamic State and now Muhammad leads the Islamic empire. I included this because it really represented the entrance of importance of knowledge for the islamic religon during their golden age. This time period is similar to the time in ancient greece when The Ancient Greeks adopted the Phoenican alphabet. Inventions like, Algebra, and paper manufacturing in the Middle East. Those two inventions played a key roll in Muslim education. Places like Baghdad (considered to be the "heart of the empire") and The House Of Wisdom are also founded/built. The House Of Wisdom was also key to education, it focused on medicine, mathematics, astronomy and philosophy. The work that was published by those polymaths, translators, physicans etc focused mainly on medicine, psychology, astronomy and translation from what I read about them.
