The program taught me many new skills and helped me to build upon and expand on the knowledge I had going into Outdoor Play.
I was able to look at the land and environment through a different set of eyes, and really appreciate the beauty on which our centre sit on. I have took away activity ideas, experiences, and knowledge that I am excited to share with my co-workers and parents. I loved connected with other educators and talk about the struggles we all face, but also the love we have for our career and outdoor play.

Some days I was not sure that I could do it. I was challenged to look critically at my own beliefs, my practice and ideas. Sometimes it was hard and I admit there were a few tears shed as well but I believe that this has made me all the more passionate about my practice. Even more than just reflecting and developing my practice, the course pushed me to reflect on my own experiences and ideas and helped me to think more intentionally about creating inclusive and responsive outdoor experiences for children and families. I was pushed out of my comfort zone, to try new things, to speak up for the value of play and outdoor learning and to share my newfound knowledge with others. 
I loved connecting with others educators through this program, finding "my people"! People who I can share ideas with and ask questions, who share the same passion for outdoor learning and who have wonderful ideas and ways to encourage, inspire and challenge me to do more and become a better educator.

I am so thankful for this experience, the challenges and the successes, the uncomfortable bits and the affirmations have all helped me to grow as a person and an educator.

Personally, my biggest take away is the immense knowledge surrounding brain development and the lasing affects attachment has on the life of an infant.
