My name is Faye P. Rusiana, lovingly known as Happy to my family whereas my preferred name (🏳️‍🌈⁉️) around my friends is Austin.

I am currently 18 years old, and my birthday is on October 7. I'm a Libra! I'm also 5'5" and the tallest out of my family, excluding relatives. I'm an only child!

I study at AdDU SHS, where I'm in Grade 12 Calungsod!

I don't tend to talk about myself much, and much more private about my personal details - but I'll try! 🙂‍↕️

WHAT DO I USE?

For digital, I use the Procreate art program! Don't ask me about my brushes, it's just a bunch of brushes I collected over the weeks from random brush sets I found online and from friends.

For traditional (bear in mind I haven't actually started drawing traditionally, these are just materials I have currently), I currently have the stillman and birn hardbound sketchbook in the beta series! i like the cold press texture and lean more to thicker paper. As for materials, I have the arrtx 90 acrylic markers set and I switch between a 0.5 and 0.7 HB lead mechanical pencil, I also have the sakura micron fineliner pen series for line art :)

I'm saving up for the faber-castell polychromos coloring pencils, specifically the 36 set as 60 and 120 feels too much and 12 and 24 feels too little 😭😞 so I settled with 36 as a nice in between :)

Art featured here is art of my original characters I like to spin around in my head time to time, they have their own lore I'll gladly talk about if asked!

These three are ... friends? Ish? Only Oxygen and Playfair have a good relationship as they grew up together under the same roof, while Impact's relationship with the two are rather strained due to some things. It'll get better. Maybe!

I personally write these 3 along with 4 more I didn't show here, I also made their art myself heh

I don't just draw, I write as well! However it's waaayyyy more self-indulgent so I'm not showing ANY of it even if you ask I'm sorry 😞 I write my own little stories of characters I like and I like to show it off to my friends sometimes!

I'm interested in a lot of things, such as reading, gaming, listening to podcasts, watching art restoration videos and um. what else. 😅 collecting some merch of characters I like ............. Honestly you can ask me what I like in class and I'll answer if I'm not super shy about it (I promise I'm friendlier than I look I'm just introverted 💔)

Anyways, other than that I really really like the heisei retro aesthetic and anything in the shade of green or pink or yellow!! i think it's a nice aesthetic that aligns with who i am (as a person who collects like 20 million trinkets and it all clinks together like a noisy bell) and it's all in my favorite colors!!

I'll have to be real with you, I'm not quite sure what path to take after senior high school 😭😅 but they're all stem pre-sci aligned so I figured I'd join this strand!

But for now, I want to be a pedia nurse! Or I want to be a forensic scientist, you know like the ones who handle dead bodies and autopsies and stuff... my mom says it's a boring job, but honestly I think I'd enjoy it? Question mark? I like looking and examining stuff sometimes

Another path I thought about taking is somewhere related in the animal welfare field, when I was a kid I wanted to be veterinarian to the point I drew my own little clinic when I was very young 😅 who knows, maybe I'll take this up if all else fails...

Hi! Future me in maybe 5, or 10, or even 20 years if I ever remember this, it's me, younger you when everything was kinda okay. The you who still struggles with Physics because she can't get stuff right, the you who's still in the closet (🏳️‍🌈) because she's scared of being found out by her parents, the you who still has 0 clue what to do with her life

SO ... I have 😁 a few questions, first of it being did you finally figure out what to do with yourself.... like did you figure out a career? Is it fulfilling? I always told myself I'd probably go into the medical field like a nurse, medical emergency response, veterinarian or what... or what my parents suggested like a teacher or a social worker. Honestly, there's so many potential paths to take and I don't know what to pick, it's overwhelming!!

Second, did you come out to our parents yet or are we still in the closet. Um, #touchysubject amirite 💚 If we aren't at least we're out to our friends right?

THIRD!! Did we stop being so scared and actually traveled out the country, I've always wanted to visit Japan... specifically Harajuku... or visit that chiikawa themed park I've always dreamed of going to......

FOUUUUURRRRTHHHH, are we still together? me, sunny, and dwayne? did we actually live in new zealands like we told eachother, and is it going well so far!!!

And that's about it! There's nothing much I want to add, other than ... future me, don't fumble this ok? let's live a good life with really good memories and friends like we always tell ourselves!! You got this future me!

I was fond of building stuff at this age too, and bought way too many Lego sets and my littlest pet shop. I'm half sure this is the age where I wanted to be a veterinarian and drew my very own office building, with a dedicated swimming pool for all the animals at the rooftop. Let's just say I had big dreams as a kid. Big dreams I hope I can accomplish one day.

Elementary, grade 3 to be exact, is where I met my first and current best friend of all : Shiloh Dalisay who I affectionately nickname Milo :) she’s the sweetest person ever, and I’m personally glad I get to call her my best friend. I’ve known her for nearly a decade now, and it’s honestly wild it’s been so long since. She’s seen every facet of me, every part of me that people don’t even know about.

During elementary I don’t really remember if I accomplished any notable achievements? But I remember being told I would’ve been brought to Cebu since my skills were so good in IT. Then again, IT back then was just simple scratch projects with drag-and-drop blocks. I’m still proud of it though, and I remember having one of my art class projects being on an exhibit, and again I was very happy about it.

Lately, I’ve been discovering what I want and don’t want, giving myself a chance to explore who I really am when I wasn’t able to give myself that chance when I was younger. I’m not really gonna dive in on the details, but I 😝 am in the closetttttttt (🏳️‍🌈)

I’m also at that stage where I’m trying to figure out what fashion style or just general aesthetics I like. Right now I like cutesy stuff and the appeal of trinkets and the messiness that comes with it. I remember when I was younger I wasn’t really all into that since I was also experimenting with my own identity, now I just embraced that part of me. I love ribbons I love lace I love all things cute I looooove collecting trinkets over time and maximizing the amount of stuff on my desk!

I haven’t made too many friends yet, but I’m glad I managed to step out of my social circle just enough to gain 2 more in my life – Sunny and Dwayne – who I constantly hang out with and basically my main group of friends. I still talk with Milo of course, just not as much as we used to. It happens eventually, but I’m glad we still stuck together.

I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for me, as much as I am afraid of what happens next.
