One of the main differences I have come to notice in the reporting is that AB (Audio-based) news tends to focus on the major events, where as TB (Television-based) focuses on major stories. But, the constant belief in the most important news being released to the public is evident across both platforms of media. Stories may unfold over various different events, but actual occurrences of substantial public importance within a certain timeframe are events, and are much more analyzed in radio format. ‘Don’t be surprised if buildings burn’: BLM activist warns ‘all hell will break loose’ if Chauvin acquitted of George Floyd murder

The story relates to the heavily publicized conflict between protesters and law enforcement over the death of George Floyd last May. Displaying shocking threats from protesters if former Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin is acquitted of George Floyd’s killing, that "all hell is going to break loose”. While definitely an important story in terms of justice to be done for the victims of the deceased, this is an example of a story whos overall popularity has sprung it into the top of headlines, while multiple other demanding issues and events having gone on since. While an important case in regard to racial tension in America, it is interesting to see and dividing story see air time even in Russia. It does not take a clear side in terms of pro or anti-government, but it is clear the aim of the network is to appeal to the mass audiences and create empathy for those wronged by the law.

Another example of headline prominence as well as socially relevant stories is within Japans television network, NHK World. Looking through the top stories segment, I can see the network is very consumer-oriented, with each story having its relevance ranked upon the numbers of hashtags it has. For Example, of course one of the main ongoing topics of discussion going on today is the effect coronavirus has on the public. On Japans television site, they have 9/12 of their main top story page related to #vaccines #infection #coronavirus.
These stories show the people-first mindset he television and radio platforms share, but also shows the disadvantages of diversity in news for worldwide television broadcast.

It becomes clear that without the aspect of visuals, that the speakers themselves become the visual voice, that navigates between different topics without giving away their own credibility in the form of smoke and mirrors. The story between the brothers remains first, but the concerns of the public also pull through and become a discussion of its own.
"As Jordan’s royal dispute plays out between two top royals, many Jordanians are just trying to get by. And, the EU has announced a quarter billion euros to fund five new refugee camps on the Greek islands, including Lesbos, but some are worried the new sites will not improve conditions for migrants."

If released on a television-based network, this story may have had most of its runtime spent between the conflict of the brothers stemming back from their youth, not the current situation at hand.

Another example of AB news displaying current events at the factual level would be in the Newshour's broadcasting on the nuclear deal between Iran and the US, and whether or not the US will join the JCPOA again since the Trump administration withdrew back in 2018. They speak with an advisor within the International Crisis Group, who speaks candidly on what the situation is like with Iran and the US in regard to the other signatories of the deal( Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany). While seemingly pro-government, the angle at which they speak of the decisions within the governments sound like that of fans of a sport discussing the ball clubs; may not completely agree with them, but they're rooting for them to do better.
