After that, a rebel of the people in Brazil causes an assembly to form. This assembly asked for King John VI to return back to Brazil. Once he returned, his son took over the role of Prince, causing Brazil to divide again. There, he became the prince and gained much power. With the return of his father, the citizens of Brazil believed that Dom Pedro had gained too much power and planned to remove some of it.
