If I was a tourist guide in Istanbul I would take my group to many sites, both historic and for nice views. The first place I would take my group would be to the Pera / Beyoğlu area where we would start at Taksim Square and walk down Istiklal Caddesi towards Galata Tower. Galata is by far my favourite site in Istanbul due to its beauty and neat sidestreets close by. From there we would wander down towards Karakoy and towards the water.

I think I would take them to Dolmabahçe Palace because I think it looks really cool and it’s a popular place.

I would love to take my tourists to various neighbourhoods including Beyoğlu, the Golden Horn area, Balat, Kadiköy and Kuzguncuk. We would check out all the historic monuments and art installments in each neighbourhood over 3 full days of walking around the beautiful city of Istanbul (aka Constantinople...aka Byzantium).
