         <title>The Theater Of Epidadurus </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This theater was built to honor the god Dionysius the god of drama or theater and wine. It was built in a large bowl shape and could seat up to 14,000 people with 55 rows of seats. It was a huge architectural feet of the time and was made so that no surface was flat as to enhance the acoustics. It is still one of the worlds greatest theaters that is still putting on productions to this day.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Dithyrambs were originally songs sang worshiping the god of drama. They then developed into theater when a singer (Thespus) started acting out the different characters in the songs. He later used masks to act out each character witch lead to the early creation of Greek dramas. The word thespian that we have today for actors derives from the word Thespus.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Roman comedy consisted of middle comedy witch has no surviving plays from and new comedy witch preceded Alexander the great’s death. The most well known play write from new comedy was Menander who wrote 100 play with only parts of 4 surviving. middle comedy became less observant and less obscene and related more to everyday life creating the phrase “Menander or life witch imitated witch”. In this time there were three major types of productions Atellan farce witch was a lude mime done by actors called phylyakes, versus fescennin witch were jokingly obscene poems, and fibula saturae preformed by histriones. Although out of all three atellan farce survived the longest.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Yan dynasty brings in a golden age of drama that drew mainly from history and legend. Plays would usually range for months or even years and would have strong moral messages embedded in them. The two main types of plays in this time were Jazu witch was in northern China and Chuan-qu in southern china. Jazu plays would usually consist of 4 acts with two famous plays surviving till now The Orphan Of Zhao and The Circle Of Chalk. Churn-qu plays would be anywhere from 30-40 acts long with the play The Peony Pavilion surviving till today.</div>]]></description>

One of these play writes was Thomas Lanier Williams who was born I’m Mississippi in 1911. In 1944 he had his first big success on stage with the play The Glass Minagery an American family drama. William’s most famous quote was “ A new plastic theater must take the place of the exhausted theater of realistic convention if theater is to resume vitality as part of our culture.”&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

They would be put on by towns people and many would travel to see them. Mystery plays get there name because the word mystery meant trade and most people preforming there were everyday people would would work in trades. Morality plays on the other hand got their name from the incorporation of moral questions raised within them.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Noh plays were the most popular kind of plays in Japan. Kyogen are the scenes in between the plays. Noh plays developed from kaggura witch were dances preformed by priestesses. Later when Buddhism arrived creating more forms or dance soon after Buddhists took in performances into their temple as a way of worship. To this day we still have 21 examples of Noh plays.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Sanskrit literature started around 1500 BCE and started as an oral tradition. The two greatest works of this time were the Mahabharata and the Ramayana and most dramas evolved from theses epics. The dates of the first dramas is unknown but we do have 2 dozen plays left from this time. The plays from this time tended to be mostly written in Sanskrit the more formal writing and Prakrit the informal writing.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
