         <description><![CDATA[<p>The setting of gothic literature relates to how Poe created suspense in the "The Masque of the Red Death". It does by where it takes place-one of Prince Prospero's abbey. This is a very dark place where him and his friends were. Then when they went to the ball, him and his friends went up the seven "suites". The last one was very gothic-like by having dark hangings through the blood-tinted panes and when Prince Prospro tried to kill the Red Death, it was just the disease the whole time the "Red Death" in the western or black chamber.
