Here he is saying that the only place for a just man is a prison if the government imprisons unjustly and if we all rally together they cant put us all in jail. these ideas put into action would probably lead to a whole bunch of people in jail. i don´t think it would change things very much or have much influence.

If his ideals were acted apron we will probably bring about change im just not sure how much.

Here Thoreau says that he thinks that the government is overstepping its boundary´s. His solution is to rally and force change. If we were to act on his ideals and get enough people behind him we would probably have a much less active federal government.

A group of women and men walked topless Sunday in the Oceanside Los Angeles to demand that females get the same legal right as males to walk bare-chested in public. This is one of several pro-topless marches to hold awareness for women equality. nothing has changed yet but it did increase awareness.

Here he is saying that he sill pays the taxes that pay for things he wants to maintain or support like schools and roads but refuses to pay for taxes that will fund the war. These ideas put into action would probably lead to more active protests and force the governments hand on a lot of things. I think it would change a lot of things by forcing the governments hand.

Full name Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, he was an activist and leader in the Indian independence movement in British-ruled India. He led the 250 mile Dandi Salt March in 1930 to challenge the British-imposed salt-tax. He would usually eat simple vegetarian foods; however, there were many instances in which he would undertake long fasts to show both social protest and self-purification. Unofficially called the Father of the Nation.
